Yes, i'm talking about the Survival Horror game develpoed by Terminal Reality, released in 1999.
This is my favorite game in that genre (i've played Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3, Dino Crisis 1 & 2, and many others indie and more mainstream).
This game does NOT have a large Fear Factor (like Alan Wake or Slender does), but it has the GREATEST atmosphere i ever witnessed in a game and the most awesome protagonist in a game : Stranger, an anti-hero that's in it, only for the kill.
The game had 4 chapters that were put in order chronologically, but with no apparent conceptual bonds.
When you finished the last chapter, there was a cliffhanger, that promised a new game (others said movie), but still to this day it has never happened.
Much of the staff from Terminal Reality back then has been fired or quit and the company holds the rights to the name, as you can read in this -fairly old- interview :
http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/terminalreality/interview.htm
There also was a guy named "Agent Heretic" that had made 4 maps for the game, now lost forever.
Anyway, since there's not a mod kit around for the game, and since it's more likely that a company of fans can do much more than a single crazed fan, what do you say we try to revive that game?
It's pretty akward, because the ones that made the game do not have the license and the company that owns it, seem to not give a fuck about it, or the genre.
We could try and convince them, that fans can fund its development through Kickstarter (it's been a while since i pledged there anyway).
If a team of indie developers would be interested, i believe there are many of us that would like to contribute, money and ideas for the creation of a new Nocturne game.
What do you guys say? Is that too much of wishful thinking?
(Do i really have to request the game being brought here, after all this? :p)
