Time4Tea: 2) Remove Gwent, No Man's Sky, Absolver (and any other DRMed games) from the store.
Lifthrasil: By the way, No Man's Sky can be removed from that point. The DRM has been removed. Games with DRM-ed single player content are, to my knowledge: Absolver, Age on Wonders III, Battletech, Carcassonne, Cyberpunk, Dying Light, F.E.A.R. (incomplete Securom removal/only affects some players), Nex Machina and X4
Hi Lifthrasil. Thanks, I have removed No Man's Sky from the list, since Hello Games have been good enough to patch it to remove the DRMed content. I reworked the list a bit to now mention Absolver and Dying Light specifically, as well as providing a link to your list thread. I have also reworded point 2) to request that GOG work with the developers to get the DRM removed. However, I have broken Gwent out into a separate item. The DRM in Gwent is intrinsic. It can't be 'fixed' and the game simply needs to go. However, for the others there is the possibility that they can be patched.
We have seen some encouraging signs over the past several weeks. The DRM in No Man's Sky and Wasteland 3 has been removed (although in the NMS case, it is very unclear whether GOG had a part in it, or even knows about it). It would be nice to see a clear communication from GOG to reaffirm their commitment to 100% DRM-free and pledge to work with the other developers to get the DRM removed from the other games asap.
It seems we are also seeing some progress with maintenance of the offline installers, based on what I have seen in
this thread. Is anyone aware of any games in particular, whose offline installers are lagging far behind Galaxy?
However, even with these possibly encouraging signs, the #1 item,
Devotion, has not been addressed and GOG have still not graced the almost 9000 users who have signed the
wishlist request with a response. For me, the release of Devotion on GOG is a non-negotiable. It
must happen if I am going to consider ending my boycott.
