Sigh, I had boxes for my games from childhood, but the family thought it would be better to throw them out and keep things organized in a file case. Sad. However, I have kept the boxes since then. A few I am missing b/c I lent the games to a friend and she has yet to return them :(

Fairfox: I kno, right; hindsight an' all. Not just with gamies, either! S'lieeeek all mah old schoolwork, for example; it was junked when I graduated an' I really, really regret it :/. Mah family are verrr much teh kind taht liek to 'move on' with items, but I <3 childhood mementos/memories. Irreplaceable. Double sigh.
Hahaha, I used to be really bad at keeping tons of stuff. I lived in a house for like 7 years and when i had to move I was like, "Holy shit, I have so much crap". I threw a lot of it away. I kept A LOT of my work from undergrad and postbach, and i was just like, "WHY???". I regret getting rid of some of the books. I'd like to look through some of them again :) But really, when am I gonna need or read my old biochemistry papers? lol

Though I have misplaced my hardcover copy of the works of Chaucer and not being able to find it is making me nuts. I'll be super pissed if I chucked that on accident.

I went from one extreme to another. Guess it's all about finding a balance, yeah? :)

Whenever I move, I only take what I can fit in my car. Not because I am against movers, but because it's such a wonderful opportunity to get rid of all the old junk. I take with me no furniture, very little clothing, some electronics, several collections, expensive items such as weapons and ... that's it really. A bit of a hassle to buy new things once I arrive, but the move itself is always a breeze and I never accumulate loads of junk. Plus friends and neighbors who get all my stuff (from furniture to computers) tend to be happy.

When I moved from Washington to Utah, I gave a UPS guy, who helped pack some of my fragile items a full sized replica of a portal gun on a stand. He was so happy!

Fairfox: Yah, it's super-easy to shift gears an' go overboard with junkin'. In a wai it's good to get into teh mindset - good therapy - buuut, usin' mahself as an example, I need somebody to take me aside and be all:

"KK, Fairfox, do you realllly want to throw away taht priceless family heirloom?"
"Hells, yeah!" *manic face*
"Really?"
"...No."
girl, you are like in my brain! that is EXACTLY what happened. "crew, you wanna keep this couch?" NO! "how about your washer/dryer, we can store it for you?" NO GET RID OF ALL THE THINGS!
SIGH so bad.

Fairfox: On teh other hand I onceee had honest-to-heck non-junked (!) items packed for me (by a 'professional', no less) for a move an' I discovered afterwards they packed mah first edition hard-cover books on teh verrr bottom, underneath heavy, heavy items :/

I was sooo peeved; teh spines had totes buckled 'an teh books generally were all 'skewed'. How do these peeps sleep at night. HOW (caps).
hahaha I worked for the UPS store and packed things for people and sent them out. Once a guy's golf club got totally bent in half. UPS came to inspect the claim and told us we didn't sufficiently pack it. I was like, "is a freakin' metal pole!". another time a fork lift went through a very expensive painting. good times. good times.
I never throw them.
I copy my disc, put it back into box and then use a no cd crack to play the game.
Most of my games look like new.
That's other thing I never got a big box because they are kind of expensive here.
