Hyrule Warriors is my most played game by far. Very good when you want to just turn your brain off and have some fun, I usually play it when I have too much on my plate and am too tired for some turn-based RPG or a puzzle game, but still want to play something. The campaign is just sort of alright, it gets much better in the adventure maps where you start facing some challenges.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is less story focused and more character focused than its predecessor, but walking around and exploring the world is really engaging. It's good if you really want to sink your teeth on a massive experience, it takes about 30 hours to get your giant robot, another 30 or more to get the ability to fly in it, I put well over 100 hours in it and am still a couple of chapters away from the end. I wouldn't say it's the padding type of content, there's always something to do right around the corner, you string one of those missions after the other and before you notice it hours have passed.
Bayonetta 2. One of the best hack and slash games I've ever played, the first one showed promise but had a few too many annoyances, the sequel has smoothed some things out. If you're not into the genre this probably won't change your mind, but if you are, you can't go wrong.
Super Mario 3D World. Despite being in 3D, it's gameplay template has more in common with the 2D Mario games than the 3D ones like Galaxy. It's something you've likely seen before, but done really well.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, another 2D platformer. Easier than the previous one, but pretty good. Loads of collectibles, if you're into that type of stuff.
I suppose if you didn't have a Gamecube, Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD are good choices as well.
And who knows if they'll be good, but I'm definitely getting Pokkén Tournament next week, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE in a couple of months.
