Oooh, this could be a really long ilst, I'll do it over a few intervals

Fallout 3: This pretty much explains itself, it wasn't a "Fallout" game but it was a great post-apoc RPG that was pretty fun and immersive.

Fallout: New Vegas: This game was a Fallout game, and had great story telling, the forced pathing at the beginning was iffy though. That one thing is enough to put it a notch below FO3, but otherwise a fun game.

Morrowind: My favourite game in The Elder Scrolls series, had a strange and distinct world that was fun to adventure through.

Oblivion: A bit of a bland world, but still fun.

Skyrim: Fairly streamlined but I preferred it over the much blander Oblivion.

Tales of Vesperia: Where do I start? Where do I finish? This game is great and it's easy to blow a ton of time on it.

FFIV: Storytelling at it's finest.

FFX: Cool story that kept me wanting to play more.

FFXII: The game that got shunned for trying to innovate, I liked it, alot of others didn't.

FFT: Enough said

Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones: One of my favourite FE games
FE: Radiant Dawn: Pretty good, challenging for newcomers though
FE:A Probably the best FE game to date.

I'll stop there for now.

Really good list, I'm surprised anyone anywhere admits to liking Radiant Dawn so much. I love the game too, but it's my third/fourth favorite (depends on how I order Sacred Stones and whether I'm counting Genealogy), review sites ripped on it and quite a few fans as well. Glad to see Someone else really likes Sacred Stones as well. Please, keep 'em coming.

MadyNora: (I hate picking favourites >_< )

My favourite RPG is Morrowind, but since it's not on GOG (sadface), my top GOG list, in alphabetical order is:
Baldur's Gate 1-2
Divinity 2
Icewind Dale
Might and Magic 6-7

Honorary mention to Neverwinter Nights. I've never played the actual NWN campaign, but I've spent countless of hours with user made modules, and I LOVE them ^-^

(And many more RPGs I love >_<)
+1 for being the first person to have Baldur's Gate 2 in your list.

My top 5.

Baldur's Gate 2
Fallout
Fallout 2
Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines
Skyrim

Well I *did* say 'Infinity Engine' generally - as in all 5 games!

Both. I only bought BG2 very recently. Before that I only had and played BG1 ^.^

chevkoch: I'll drag out the Dreamcast and present you with:

Grandia II

Skies of Arcadia
Well Grandia 2 is also on the PC, and it is pretty good :)

Infinity games are high up on the list, but my heart still belongs to SSI and Dark Sun: Shattered Lands.

Close runner up are the two Drakensang games, because nobody seems to really know about them, which really is a shame, because they are awesome. Not RoA awesome, but still :)
Morrowind
Fallout
Arcanum
Fallout 2
Skyrim

Gothic 2 would be sixth probably, and no I don't want to hear legions of people telling me how insane it is to put Skyrim above Gothic 2, thanks anyway.

I also left off hybrids like Deus Ex, just 'cause.

Ah, right. Too bad Skies of Arcadia's PC (& PS2, for that matter) port got cancelled.
I just want to jump in and say that all these years have gone by and I still just spent the last hour rapt in a Diablo 2 session playing it like I'd never even heard of it before; hunched over, eyes mere inches from the screen, actually talking out loud to the NPCs and occasionally even cursing the baddies. I don't know how a game can be that good but I remain in awe.

Funny thing is that it's not really even an RPG. :P

I always here about the second part being so great, but to be honest, the first one is the best in the series for me.
What is it, that people dislike in Fallout 1?
