Eight days ago, The Battle for Wesnoth was put on Steam Greenlight. Four days later, it has already been greenlit.
1.14 in next year is scheduled to be the first release of Wesnoth to support both traditional Sourceforge-Installer as well as a Steam-Version. (probably with Auto-Updates and so on)
In my eyes there is still hope left for GOG to become the third option if they hurry up enough to get in contact with the wide-spread development team. As Wenoth is probably one of the greatest modern classics of Turn-Based-Strategy it would fit in really well in GOG Portfolio and could extend the small amount of Free Games on GOG. Get your hands on it, GOG-team!
