But people just make these jokes to make other people laugh. I don't think it is done to trivialize suicide. It is done with noble intentions. Making a joke about something is also a way some people cope with horrible things in life.

Because stories of people who have abilities way beyond our own will always fascinate us. Because many of these heroes are broken in some way, which makes us relate to them. And most importantly, because sometimes, they become our inspiration.

You can have "Stories about people with superhuman abilities" without said person a) wearing a cape and skin tight colored uniform, b) having a silly name like "Batman" or "Spiderman", or c) having a dumb moral compass which either falls into "righteous fighter for the innocent" or "I am literally Hitler and like killing newborn infants".

Batman is NOT a superhero, technically, on the contrary. Batman is a person without superpowers, from whom life took away everything from him, including precious people he loved, his vast money and fortune being the only exception. He became who he is by training himself in extremely hard ways and willingly, becomes a figure who is HATED, instead of loved, even though he serves the greater good.

Some people might relate... Some people mostly might relate to the villains. I myself like pretty much Two-Face Harvey. Person who conceived those fictional figures and their traits, must have been a genius who ate life with a spoon and probably was a crazy (with the good meaning) and creative artist.

The only good to come of this is that WB finally removed the pre-load lock when prevented customers in Japan and South Korea from playing this for almost 4 months after the local release date.

I wonder if the next Batman game from WB will come to PC at all? I don't know if their issue is that WB is not funding the PC version development as well as console development, or is it really that big a nightmare to make an AAA PC game that works fine on most PCs? CDPR has already some experience with that, what's their view?

Anyway, if they keep fixing it, maybe it will be near flawless by the time I buy it for 5€ from a Steam sale, or part of a WB Humble Bundle.

I have similar thoughts and I've always seen the superhero fascination mainly as some kind of US thing. To each his own I guess. None of my friends nor siblings understand my fascination to (PC) games. In their eyes it is something their kids do, adults do adult things like go fishing, fix the roof of the barn and watch the TV.

I hate fishing by the way, the few times I've tried it, I was bored to death. Yet e.g. the husband of my sister can't wait to go to the lake or sea to fish some more.

Compare Western comics and cartoons to Japanese anime. Not to be a weeb about it, but there's anime and manga of literally every genre imaginable, yet US comics/cartoons are either a) children/family titles, or b) "serious" superhero. Also Western comics are ridiculously short, though this is because they go full-color too much instead of just black and white and full color for the cover of each volume, like manga.

I have 60 hours gameplay for Arkham Knight, have beaten main story with perfect Knightfall ending, so I think I can say my opinion regarding the game.

As a whole, game's working fine for me. Fine means no crashes, no progression blockers, no random BSODs here and there.

Graphic wise, stuttering is very visible to my eyes during heavy batmobile sessions. Especially when you turn your vehicle sharply or pass through very crowded area. I do admit I don't have powerful GTX980, but 6 fps during Batmobile on ALL LOW settings? It's just -> -.-

When gliding slowly it's fine. When gliding SHARPLY it is NOT fine.

When fighting it's fine.

It's only when riding a batmobile and gliding sharply.

Lip-sync is ALWAYS off. No matter what you do, there's no workaround. Other things related to sound are fine.

I'm using 8 GB machine and my RAM usage is like 95% *gasp* when playing Arkham Knight. That is with no background programs except one puny antivirus (MSE). I suspect I could get better performance when playing with more RAM, but this is maybe also because the game's badly optimized for Windows 10 machine.

So, take it what you will. if you want to play and beat the best Batman Arkham game to date, despite the issues, just play - nothing will kill your PC just some annoyances.

You might want to reconsider. There are MANY western comics that are hardcore and borderline pornographic, even more freakish/perverted/psycho/"disturbing" than your average eastern ecchi and hentai, or splatter theme...

As a completionist whore that i am, i am still fighting with myself over buying it or skipping it... Price isn't helping though... 90 euros for ONE game (i have already got the rest) and this one isn't even the complete package...

JRPGs still suck though, except those few which are on GOG.com of course.

Sorry I am not familiar with either game and their relationship with each other, except maybe reading the bitching how some Aliens game didn't live up to E3 demos (but then was The Witcher 3 under similar controversy later?). Were those complaints only for the PC version, or also the console versions?

Hopefully new AAA titles keep coming to PC, but still just wondering which was the main issue here, not enough resources to the PC version (less than the console versions?), or the PC/Windows platform being so hard to develop for? I can understand making a game for one console spec and configuration is much simpler than for various PC configurations, but how much extra work is that?
