The Dragon Warrior run was awesome, especially if you're curious about how RNG manipulation works. (The introduction of RNG manipulation brought the time down by nearly 5 hours, to the point where a 40 minute estimate is quite generous.)

What is RNG manipulation?
I know RNG is random number generation but what is it's manipulation?

It's where the player takes advantage of the fact that the RNG isn't technically random, and can therefore be manipulated to get the results that the player wants. For example, a certain spell might almost never work on a certain enemy; RNG manipulation allows the spell to work consistently. Another example, though not applicable to the original Dragon Warrior, is getting rare drops. There's also things like critical hits and misses, which can also be manipulated in many games.

There was a run of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones the other day that also used heavy RNG manipulation.

The RNG seed is controlled by the player (it's the lucky number you enter at the start of the game), and the RNG only advances when you perform an action, so it shouldn't be too hard to map it out and use the magic amulet to get high stats early in the game.

too bad you haven't figured out a marketable way to RNG manipulate LOOT BOXES, think how rich you would be....

I've always been facinated with RNG manipulation and it doesn't have to be rediculously complicated. For example, if the runners do a reset before a run that's a good example of simple RNG manipulation.
