I bought H1Z1 King of the Kill while it was on sale to literally 24 hours later Steam telling me my refund went through even though I didn't put in for one and now are telling me they can't/won't reverse it and I have to now buy it again at full price if I want it.

Its also been two or three days and I still don't even have my money back for it yet either.

Yeah. They basically told me too bad. The refund was completed and they couldn't/wouldn't reverse it and if I wanted it I had to now buy it at full price despite me not even having the money back for it.

Yeah I think im just kinda boned. Was just seeing if anyone else has had this issue before.

Maybe steam refunded it for your own good because that game sux

Yeah i probably will if i decide to get it again. By then I'll probably just buy other games.

How did you pay? If Paypal, just do a charge back. Most banks should allow you to do it too. Goods not received so it's a clear cut case. At least you'll get your money back.

Also, have you contacted the publisher (Daybreak Game Company)? Not sure they can do anything, but wouldn't hurt to try.

Not yet on the dev, but I just may do that.

Check with your bank how easy it is to do a chargeback, if all else fails.

Yeah just did, they said wait a few more days and to contact steam. Basically just like steam they are giving me the run around.

Most banks are obligated to do a chargeback in case of goods not received, however you do have to show that you contacted the merchant first and given them enough time to respond. So email Steam again, save e-mails, and in 2 weeks or so contact the bank again.

I had done it a few times and it can take as much as 2 months from the purchase date till you get the money back (you have to contact the merchant, then the bank has to contact the merchant and wait for response... etc). It's a pain, I know but you should get your money back.

Yeah its just gonna take longer than it should
