ThorChild: I wonder what 'school of business' it comes from? Practicality is down, usability is down, ease of access to info is down, and it could be argued the aesthetics are also down. There has to be some 'positive' reason for it though right?
Following current design trends, any reasoned or reasonable factors be damned. Also, may have something to do with new young hires doing what they were taught to. Was talking recently with a support person from somewhere else and he was saying that reversing the mess software development has become would require changes in the educational system, as what's happening is the result of the mindset new software developers leave school with.

I hate it. It's vulgar, cheap and a little child-like. When I happen upon web-sites like this I immediately back arrow out of it. It's a gimmick, and a bloody awful one at that.
What's happening to you GoG?
Yes. I dislike the new moderator-less gog.

And its "new" community (as opposed to the one I met when I arrived here).
i have to set the page to 100% in order to be able to see the fonts in the forum part .... like now... (✖﹏✖)

BUT if i leave it i have to set it to 90% or i will miss the Now on sale and News part, that flashes and disappears again...
its not fixed yet and i doubt if it can be fixed or they are able to fix it or even know how to fix it all i Do know is that other sites can design a functioning site without me having to switch to 100% and 90% view (✖﹏✖)

Anyway i'm getting a little tired of the new layout , my eyes get tired (︶︹︺) zzzzzz
images are far too big , that enlargening of images when mouse over ✖‿✖
and i still miss a valuable filter to only show GAMES ... ( dont care about DLC that should be shown on the gamepage of the game itself)

ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ✖‿✖

i'm off ... again .... ppfffffff tiresome layout

It's better with the massive Thronebreaker banner gone. At this point, I'd be fine with the new design if they made three changes:

- All sales should scroll at the top of the page. Daily, weekly, special, whatever. Put it all there so I can see within seconds what is on sale and add a timer while you're at it. You know, like the way it used to be. Don't just use that space to advertise stuff that isn't discounted like Thronebreaker and Obra Dinn. I can find that under the New section, or in the Store dropdown menu.

- An actually complete Now on Sale section. Right now, off the top of my head, I don't see The Colonists or Army Men games there. What is even the point of a Now on Sale section if you're not going to list everything that's on sale right now? Whose idea was this design and how is it an improvement over the old version?

- No video autoplay of any kind.

Repeating what I said before...

GOG's redesign has been out for several weeks now, and it STILL doesn't work in IE11. This is the ONLY site that I have problems with! Everyone other site I visit works fine in IE11. GOG's old design worked adequately in IE11. But since the redesign, it's impossible. Why is this?

Forgetting about the cosmetic changes, and just concentrating on the technical problems... after several weeks :
- Username at the top, indicating my account is still missing.
- Huge banners taking up the page are still black\blank.
- No News anywhere on the front page.
- Screenshots from game page reviews are still missing.

Does anyone else find it odd that the blues still haven't commented about these technical problems, as well as the cosmetic layout? I'd really like to know if these problems are going to be fixed. Are they even being worked on?
Please give us back the good old games, good old store page back for good old times sake. They way it is now is not nice, it's as if Good old games has sold out to s.......y steam, plus I can't find f all, and looking for DLC collections is a f-in nightmare.

This new design is ridiculous. It lacks list view, the rating and the genre easily accessible.

Well, the new look did a splendid job with hiding Daily Deals.

FrodoBaggins: This is the ONLY site that I have problems with! Everyone other site I visit works fine in IE11.
Interestingly enough, the other site I have problems with as of recently is MobyGames. There were some changes which caused the user menu to no longer show up in IE, so have to use roundabout methods to access profile and approval status, and a very roundabout one of accessing inbox, and there are no notifications for messages visible anywhere. So, you know, two gaming sites that used to be better known for older games and with a core userbase fueled in good part by nostalgia and a rejection of current trends, which decided to make changes requiring very "modern" browsers. But at least in case of MG it's volunteers trying to do something in their spare time, which in case of those with dev access is very much at a premium now. That isn't the case for GOG.

Nope, don't find it odd. Find it quite as expected. Someone at the top made some decisions, they believe they're right and that the problems aren't problems, but just a "vocal minority" doing its thing, so they just want to wait it out, and if they lose a few people out of those complaining, probably all the better.

I guess they don't care selling games :)

I really can't stand this. I used to come to gog and check what was on sale and get a great big list. Now I get a few items in their oversized slider surrounding by oversized garbage. I want to buy games but it's like pulling teeth.

I wish for the original Gog.com website they had years ago before they decided to "improve" it. :/

I'm pretty sad about the new layout. I started to come here as first choice now that Steam is sinking rapidly into the mire. I even rebought some games on GOG so I don't have to use Steam as much ...... and now I find GOG following Steam down in an apparent lack of concern for it's customer base :)

I just went to the "News" posts at the bottom of the page to find the Weekly Sale and it's fallen off. Guess I'll have to did through forum posts to find a link. C'mon GoG! How hard can it be to keep links up on your front page for all the current sales?

I created a wishlist entry for gog to roll back to the previous layout: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/roll_back_to_the_old_design
