Sorry to drag this up as I know it has featured in many threads, but as none of them are terribly recent and seem somewhat contradictory, I'd like to clarify the following:
I recently bought and installed Fallout 1 via Galaxy, and under 'other executables' I see that I can launch Fallout Classic. However, when reading up on the game before buying I learned that 'Classic' is the Interplay version, that these versions were removed from GOG a few years ago, and that while they were still accessible for those that already had them in their library, the versions now on sale were the Bethesda versions (though those who bought the Interplay versions had gotten the Bethesda versions too).
Grateful if someone who's up to speed with the current status could clarify:
(1) Is the 'Classic' version I can access through Galaxy the Interplay version? If not, what is it?
(2) With regard to both the 'Classic' version and the (for want of a better word) 'normal' version, are either/both the so-called 'censored' version?
(3) If censored, has anyone got current advice on the best way to patch them to get the uncensored/'original' version?
Many thanks in advance - my brain is turned inside-out by now with all the changes these games seem to have gone through on GOG!
