Bluexcheese: The game is free so I can't blame devs for the constant crashing so I will wait for fixes but GOG you should put a disclaimer like early access in the description of the game page. I bought Fallout 4 game of the year edition again on GOG so it would be easy to install which it is but you shouldn't have to download a mod from another site to make a game work. After that I was nearly to the end of the main quest line and now I am unable to access any save without crashing. I saved nearly every 5 to 10 minutes to avoid problems like this. I also looked on the internet for a good two hours troubleshooting to try to fix my problems. GOG don't advertise a game as working if it doesn't work or just say in the description that it is early access or that this mod is still in heavy development with bug/glitches. I am not asking for a refund on Fallout 4 GOTY but this thing comes off as false advertisement. The game is free and I don't want to taint my view on the dev team due to miscommunication so please fix this which this is my only complaint.
elanuzuru: Honestly, I would roll back any mod you felt you had to install in order to get the game to work. Its possible your save file is borked regardless and even in the future if the game is patched, you won't be able to play it. I'm not sure what mods people are installing to make the game playable but I've had no issues using GOG and I can only assume the problems people are having are not from the Fallout London install, but are encountering issues with specific hardware/software configurations.
I7-13700K, 6200 32GB DDR5, WD Black 2 TB, ASUS TUF 4090RTX, ASUS Prime Z790-A on Windows 11, 552.12 GPU drivers.
1.The only mods I had was Fallout London, Fallout Script Extender, Buffout, and High FPS Fix. These three mods were recommended to help stop crashes and it worked for awhile.
2.Yes, the saves are completely corrupted and I started from the beginning after 10/more hours. After you get to the end cities for the main quest stability starts going out the window.
3. Yeah it is amazing that things work for you so I am glad you had no problems.
4. I was being sarcastic with number 3. Nearly one to two fourths of forum post whether here, Reddit, Steam complains about crashes and what to do to fix/remedy it.
5. I have a nearly over a 1,000 dollar rig that I literally bought less than a few months ago with the lasted NVIDIA drivers with everything working squeaky clean so don't be coy about trying to insinuate that I am of the lower caste of the pc master race with saying," huh you must be poor and stupid and smell and that is why you can't play with your pathetic hardware like literally dude you probably forgot to update your drivers lowl".
6.GOG presents the mod like it is a official thing thing on the front page of the website/app. It says nothing about constant crashes/problems on page. So while you can't expect 100% of the content or performance to be there since it is free, I can atleast expect something stable enough to play for like a hour without crashing if it is asking me to buy the Fallout 4 GOTY edition on GOG. Which I was more than glad to since it looked fun/free.
7. GOG just needs to PUT early access or still development with bugs somewhere in the description. That is literally all that I am asking for. No refunds, no apologizes, just a couple of words added to the description.
samhill345: Total conversions are often very buggy. This isnt the first time nor will it be the last. Maybe months from now the problems will be worked out.
Having said that, they should not delete posts pointing out facts.
Literally GOG could put in the descripition," it's buggy get used to it". I would be more than happy with it.
