Fins_FinsT: One of War Thunder mouse control modes - is "relative control", same to Freelancer. No Man's Sky, depending on settings, has it as an option as well. One old (but much loved by me) flysim, "Echelon: Wind Warriors" also has it, iirc (6DoF flight, except its interceptor class). Star Citizen confirmed "freelancer type" mouse controls as an option all the way back in 2015, by popular demand, and soon implemented it. Those are no small titles you know, except that old 6DoF one.

That's of the top of my head. Other older ones i can't even remember names of also had it, and no doubt some newer ones i never played - also do.

refuse666: Thanks, but this games you mentioned support no only freelancer mouse controll mode, users can choose both types I think. Only Freelancer or X-rebirth (poor game) do not support classic mouse controll. Freelancer has not even joystick support (???). I do not mind if game has fly-mouse mode but I would like to possibility to set normal mouse control also. Thats all. Absence so small thing can ruins whole game for some people.
I do not know, why somebody ingnore the most spread mouse control mode which is use over the decades in PCs games.
JUst to be sure... Your desired mouse control would be centered mouse with spring effect? Inverted vertical axis?
Is that it?

Also, a note to DEVS: with centered mouse, I changed the value "CenteredMouseMoveRadiusFactor=2.000000" in the GameUserSettings.ini. Centered mouse uses the whole screen now, and has much more fine controls. Please consider it as an option in the in-game settings. Using half the screen for mouse input is too jerky for some players.

Hi, I dont know what do you mean exactly "spring effect".

But i mean normal control mouse which is used in every 3d shooter games not only for fly simutators.
for example Descent, Forsaken, Quake, Doom, Wolfentsein, Dishonored, Cyberpunk 2077, Overload (super Descent remake), Battlezone: Combat Commander, ....... nearly every I know.

In newest 3d flying games since Freelancer you can see both.
No man's sky, Elite Dangerous, X3 series, X4 - Foundations, ...
In first Everspace was called centered and was implemented too.

and yes I use to use invert Y-pitch becouse it is similar move as joytick move for flying and first 3d game I was played with mouse was Descent.

In Everspace 2 the centered mode is different from Everspace One
It only fix cursor to the center but the move is the same as flying mouse mode (Freelancer type)
When I stop mouse, move do not stop like at normal games but still continue to rotate. For me this is unplayable. No setings can fix it. I tried to set it and spent a long time with it.

OK. I know what you are talking about. "Spring effect" or "rubber band" effect, makes the mouse move slowly to the center of the screen, like a joystick's control.
What you are talking about is much better than that. What you want is the mouse to move freely, and the ship/camera to follow it until the crosshair is centered again. Yes, that would be the optimal mode for a mouse.

I mean camera is moving only when mouse move, that is all. And camera stay stop when mouse stop.
I do not want any special or new function. This is the common mouse move for all 3d games and the best way for precise moving and targetting.
If you played some of games I mentioned you must know.

Freelancer wasn't like that. In Freelancer, the camera had a slow follow effect. It went after the mouse, as well as the ship, but not instantly.
I feel your troubles, man. I had the same trouble with first fps games, quake and duke nukem 3d. I was used to joysticks by that time, and needed the vertical inverted axis too.
But I slowly accommodated to different controls. I played Elite Dangerous too (not anymore), with mouse+keyboard, and had to tweak the mouse "spring effect" in the config file to soften it up, because it was too hard in the game.
In No Man's Sky, there's not one mouse control that I like. The best one I found? Well, it was the control used by Everspace 1. Somehow it had much better response than this one.
But hey, if you can't play as it is, let's ask the Devs for more. Can't hurt to try.
Yeah we are reading all your posts, taking notes and putting stuff on our to do list. But as already pointed out: not making any promises yet. Our way [to get rubber band controls working] would be tweaking existing code. But since we haven't finished all ship types yet, our current work would probably get invalidated as we introduce very agile or very heavy ships. This issue is on the back burner for the time being. But we'll reevaluate this when the time is right.

Some info about Invert mouse functionality? Still not implemented? Thanks
