DarkJaguar: I've noticed that with all the other modern Bethesda Fallout and Elderscrolls games, GOG's version has packaged the creation kit designed for them with the game. However, Skyrim appears to be missing it. I attempted to use the Steam version, but unfortunately it expects to be in the same folder as the game and manually copying it over will then present DRM errors. As there is no web site download for the creation kit, will a DRM-free version of it be provided in a future update to the GOG version of the game?
You can install Skyrim Steam Creation Kit on Skyrim GOG, it will work as long as you have a
steam_api64.dll there too.
steam_api64.dll is kind of a "generic" file, it's not tied to games or ownership itself, it's tied to versions, Creation Kit SSE 64bits expects version "
2.48.45.4".
SSE64bits and Fallout 4 = DLL is exactly the same version, so both will work.
Does anyone know any free to play 64bits game/demo on Steam that comes with steam_api64.dll 2.48.45.4? it doesn't have to be a Bethesda game.
Fallout Shelter ships with steam_api64.dll 3.75.32.7... it was pretty close, but I don't think it will work.
This .DLL can be easily found on the internet, but of course, it can be a malicious file, so
I don't recommend it unless you trust it.
