Well..after i invited Ulysses and his friends i have some kind of mood drain.

Every 3 days Ulysses and his 3 +Max and Sara Seza drop 1 mood Stage, Jodie dropped back to okay from happy too but that might be related to the car(all upgrades finished and he can't work at the car anymore..poor guy :)
I had some special Items at stock so it wasn't a problem at first...but...i am running out of Stuff slowly

Is there any way aside from special Items and Events to raise the mood?

Firstly:

- Max tends to have lower mood anyway. Have you managed to get him to "change"? By which I mean, gotten to the point where he's come up to you and actually talked to you? I think that's the only way to (kind of) cheer him up (somewhat).

- One of the Sezas seems cheerier if given lab work, while the other one is just a whinger.

- Jodie will do that - maybe keep him busy with something else that's mechanical in nature? Not sure if that will work though (currently re-playing this with new hard mode, so not as far as you this game).

AFAIK the only other ways to raise individual mood are:

- if they come to you to talk to you, what you say can affect their mood. Sometimes you can't avoid a mood loss, but often you can gain a mood boost by saying the right thing. You may also get different options unlocked depending on your skills (leadership and negotiation generally, but other skills occasionally).

- As above, but sometimes they request you do something for them. This can be just going to a certain place, building a certain upgrade, etc, or finding something specific for them - a semi-unique item (different to the Unique luxury goods). If you complete these "quests" they should get a bit of a boost. Sometimes you can get a shelter-wide boost.

- Building the upgrade they favour - but you have all of those already.

- Resolving crisis events favourably - but you probably already know that. Also you have to wait for them to happen.

Apart from that, individual mood is (somewhat) affected by overall shelter morale. If your shelter morale is high then you should be fine.

BTW are you playing on hard? The above is my memory from before the patch. I'm playing on hard now and have to admit it's a lot different now. I have 20 people at my shelter, but don't have the car or horses yet. So far we're not starving (though we only have food for about 3 days at the moment). I managed to get shelter morale above 0 for a day or two, and now it's -50 or so and slowly dropping every day, since there seem to be less luxury items around in the areas I can reach on foot (so far). Hopefully Davis doesn't shoot me...
-Max was dropping from content to okay, he can't stay at happy so i never tried that at all :)

-Sara Seza is the Lab Rat and he's working there

As talking about Events i had Crisis Events+speial dialogs+special requests in mind...they're all events for me because i can't start them of my own.

Anyway...the riddle is solved, after the update there's a moodpenalty for infected, after Ulysses&friends arrived i used Items until they reached content...seems they reached just content +2..so after 3 days they fall to okay..then i use a Item...etc. :) Sara's mood dropped because of his sister health..she just didn't told me before the overdose...still unsure why Max mood dropped such fast...

Many thanks for your time and your thoughts.

Ah OK - though I thought there was always a mood penalty for infected? Or maybe it was once-off before?

For Max, there's something they added a few updates ago for some characters. If you check his "perks", one of them should be "Nothing Gold", which should explain why his mood can't stay above Content for very long. I think it might be fixable by choosing the best option when he comes to see you - if he comes to see you.
After same time Max told me his Story and i could decide to get rid of his moralpenalty or make him a better fighter against undead, i don't know if you can "erase" the Mood-cap too somehow.

I think you're right about the mood cap - I think it remains (so yes I got the mood cap confused with the morale penalty for some reason). But either way it works out to a lower morale drop caused by him...

...just noticed what i forget :)

I played on normal+PC infection+"semi-ironman"...semi-ironman means..i make saves but only reload if a bug occur, i started the game as a ironman because it fits the flair but noticed to many small flaws and bugs during the 1h to really enoy it playing like this...like..stacking Zombies, endless combatloops, being stuck in a door, etc...

Just finished the playthrough, the ending(s) was(where) disapointing and between day 56-85 i had a big hole where i only had to waste the time somehow but overall it was fun...still i wan't play it again without some major adons and improvments...esp. fighting could use a overhaul because there's quite a number of fights...and fighting feels more like work then fun ;)

I have yet to finish it, but so far I definitely agree with respect to the combat. For a game that's so combat-heavy, they really should have invested more time in the combat system. Basic things such as being able to crouch or go prone, take cover behind objects, reaction fire and the like should really be standard in a game like this - the fact that they are missing really makes the combat more of a grind-fest.

While Fallout 1/2 had similar combat mechanics, at least there you had more character interaction (as opposed to just fights and scavenging). That and a zombie game like this could really do with some of the gore effects from the Fallout games! As it stands combat is generally unsatisfying.

I have to say the base management is interesting for the most part - if it weren't for that this game wouldn't even be worth playing. However I wish we had more control about how/when to initiate things such as meetings etc. - for most of the game you have to wait for a crisis or people to come up to you, you'd think as leader you could initiate more.
