FTSO: After all the amazing numbers on Steam, things are slowing down pretty fast, they really don´t have 6 months, even if they still with a good user frequency.
https://steamcharts.com/app/1091500 Gersen: That's pretty normal for a single player game, even without all the refund and drama this one has, as more peoples either finish the game or stop playing. Witcher 3 had between 5-15k most of the time (monthly players) with only peak when major patches or DLCs were released.
Their current daily player count is still bigger than the all time peak of Witcher 3 which happened with the Netflix series release.
FTSO: I like free stuff, but a rush of free DLCs is not going to help, i mean, not in the improvements side.
Gersen: The thing is that free DLCs, if they are, as I expect them to be, cosmetic. They don't really cost anything from a purely "dev" point of view, it's mostly the "arts team" working on them. So you can have the devs working hard on fixing / improving the game and at the same time the arts team releasing free weapons / clothes.
79% loss in a fews days, I don't know, the current situation they are into is quite "extraordinaire" as far it goes the messy launch. But, the pandemic is causing a way more ferocious consume of digital enterteinament.
I hope the devs really bring together all the pieces, there is a ton of potential for this title.
