What exactly have they done with the road's geometry?

What, the bumps in the road? What about it, that's what the road looks like outside my house every damn spring.
looks like a real road to me...imperfections and all. you should be more concerned as to why your motorcycle's wheel is sticking through the ground. lol Oh Cyberpunk!

Hmmmmm lemme think... Arroyo? Definitively around that area, but the road leading to Kerry's mansion also has these bumps on the tight corners going up hill.

I swear I don't remember the roads being so badly modeled prior 2.1, or maybe the changes to how bikes drive now make it more noticiable? In any case, this is... Idk, I'm beyond tired of being disappointed with this game lmao and yet, it's a great game, it's just a mess honestly. They keep pushing content updates instead of fixing performance and bugs like these lmao

If you're really interested in comparing the same road before 2.0, I got a 1.6 install alongside 2.0, and 2.1. With a 1.6 save to use with it.
So if you can get a screenshot of the exact map location in 2.1, I can check the same location in 1.6.

That sounds like League of Legends - 13 years since release, a multi-Billion small indie company, and they can't code worth a damn, Even after all this time, parallelization is still not a thing in that game - on my i9 10-core, I usually got 1 core pegged at 100 %, giving me random lagspikes, while the other 9 cores are taking a snooze. >-<

Oh, if you can, it would we awesome if you go the roundabout that leads to Kerry's mansion and head up hill. That road is full of these bumps too. Try in 1.6 and 2.1 and share the results, just to make sure they didn't "optimize" the roads and reduce the polycount.

I'll look into it closer to the weekend.

I tried to run both 1.6 and 2.1 at the same time on separate monitors just now, but my GPU VRAM usage escalated quickly from "FML...", to "bruh, you mad!" and finally to "HELL, NO!" and the game crashed after about 3 seconds. ^^

XD Yeah, this game is too VRAM hungry, doesn't know how NOT to keep eating it up when it reaches the limit... Once again, very bad programming ^^

Also, I was wrong about the roundabout, it's also in Santo Domingo too, but this time in Rancho Coronado. Screenshot attatched.

It's like that for me as well (https://imgur.com/a/mE75Bp0). I think it might be intentional. I've seen roads in all sorts of conditions, but not this strange wavy surface. I remember there was a heat wave in Delhi that caused the asphalt to melt. NC is a hot place, that might explain this weird terrain.

Maybe not. I was just taking a wild guess. I'm probably wrong TBH.

Wild indeed lol Nah man, it's just lazy modeling, that's all.

I assume this screenshot is from 2.1?
Just checked in 1.6, and it's the same there. Screenshot attached (damn, the 500 KB limit is annoying...).

Tried my best to get the angle and time of day the same.
Different car though. xD

Yeah, then definitively I only noticed 'cause of the bike's physics changes. I can't believe the enviroment team was happy with that and left it that way XD
