Gersen: What do you mean "full playthrough" you watched a full play-through or you player a full play-through ?
TencentInvestor: Played for 24 hours, did some sidequests and crossed the point of no return to see one of the game's endings.
That's what I mean by "full playthrough". I gave this game time to shine. Time to show me all its major and minor bugs.
Everything that's in it is done better somewhere else. The open world, the combat, driving, RPG systems but I wouldn't refund a game just because I found it mediocre. I will, however, refund a game that is launched in a dishonest way with management going out of their way to hide the state it's truly in. The performance and stability isn't anywhere near what's acceptable for a "finished" product. This is an open Beta or an early access game pretending to be ready for people to buy just to make a quick profit before the holidays and disappoint people in the process.
Who plays something they don't find worth a measly 60 dollars for 24 hours. You value your money more than your time? Frankly you don't deserve a refund and from the sounds of it, you probably enjoyed the game enough to stick with it that long, but like everyone else who can't formulate an opinion on their own, the internet said it was bad and therefore it must be bad.
Hate to break it to you, but Witcher 3 also launched in a broken and buggy state with far less ambitions that Cyberpunk. Witcher 3's open world and npc interactions were outclassed by Red Dead Redemption and GTAV. It's combat is to this day, serviceable at best. It's roleplaying elements aren't any better than Cyberpunk's, nor is it's loot system, skill trees or ai. The one thing I will give credit to The Witcher 3 over Cyberpunk is gwent. It would be nice if there was an underlying minigame to enjoy. There are also a myriad of games who did things better than The Witcher 3 as well. Environmental storytelling, the ability to play your character as you see fit, combat. etc. Still have your avatar though like a hypocrite.
Cyberpunk is hands down better than any Witcher game, and CDPR's best game to date, but whatever. Be salty I guess.
