"...These funds are assigned immediately and they never expire..."

so they say in the wallet refund mail......i'm waiting from saturday

I usually do not buy games on day one, in this case i was convinced to do so because my trust toward cdpr (i've played all witchers games multiple times). Now i'm starting to loose my trust also toward gog.
immediately means now not radio silence. At least an official announcement will be appreciated. Nothing

preorders and day one purchases are dead for me, forever.

TencentInvestor: I think all refunds will eventually come through as requested. This disaster must be contained and a technical solution (i.e. actually fixing the game) is -based on my observations during a full playthrough of the main story- months away, at the very least.

Gersen: What do you mean "full playthrough" you watched a full play-through or you player a full play-through ?
Played for 24 hours, did some sidequests and crossed the point of no return to see one of the game's endings.
That's what I mean by "full playthrough". I gave this game time to shine. Time to show me all its major and minor bugs.

Everything that's in it is done better somewhere else. The open world, the combat, driving, RPG systems but I wouldn't refund a game just because I found it mediocre. I will, however, refund a game that is launched in a dishonest way with management going out of their way to hide the state it's truly in. The performance and stability isn't anywhere near what's acceptable for a "finished" product. This is an open Beta or an early access game pretending to be ready for people to buy just to make a quick profit before the holidays and disappoint people in the process.

Honestly you are talking about "dishonesty" but I definitely don't find it very "honest" to ask for a refund for a game you played for 24+ hours, especially as you played it from start to finish. You really needed to play it for 24 hours to discover that it has bug or that the release was rushed ?

I understand peoples asking for refunds without having played or having played one or maybe two hours, but asking for a refund after 24? Sorry but I can't help but find that to be an abuse of the refund system.

If CDPR wanted me to make an informed decision before a thorough playthrough, they would have needed to give me all the information instead of hiding it. Besides, GOG decided to have a refund policy that allows playing the game before refunding it and I'm not even getting my money back. I am taking the money as GOG wallet credit to spend it on games that don't trick consumers. This is a compromise that lets everyone move on from this mess.

Seriously, you needed to play the game for 24 hours to be able to "make an informed decision" ?

Probably longer than that, even.

Most of the game-breaking bugs didn't even occur for me before the second half.

Who plays something they don't find worth a measly 60 dollars for 24 hours. You value your money more than your time? Frankly you don't deserve a refund and from the sounds of it, you probably enjoyed the game enough to stick with it that long, but like everyone else who can't formulate an opinion on their own, the internet said it was bad and therefore it must be bad.

Hate to break it to you, but Witcher 3 also launched in a broken and buggy state with far less ambitions that Cyberpunk. Witcher 3's open world and npc interactions were outclassed by Red Dead Redemption and GTAV. It's combat is to this day, serviceable at best. It's roleplaying elements aren't any better than Cyberpunk's, nor is it's loot system, skill trees or ai. The one thing I will give credit to The Witcher 3 over Cyberpunk is gwent. It would be nice if there was an underlying minigame to enjoy. There are also a myriad of games who did things better than The Witcher 3 as well. Environmental storytelling, the ability to play your character as you see fit, combat. etc. Still have your avatar though like a hypocrite.

Cyberpunk is hands down better than any Witcher game, and CDPR's best game to date, but whatever. Be salty I guess.

I deserve the finished product I was promised. That's what I think. Again, I am not refunding for mediocrity.
I am refunding for the deception. I have formed my own opinion according to my own values. Is there something wrong with this? I wanted to like it, you know. I wanted it to be worth it. I simply didn't want to see CDPR for what they have shown themselves to be. Is being lied to my fault? I played Witcher 3 on launch and got what I paid for: A finished game. No placeholder text, no game-breaking bugs, no slideshow FPS performance. And the game came with goodies telling me how much CDPR values my 60 bucks. If the company you are defending values 60 bucks so much, why don't you?

BS. Yes the Witcher 3 was also buggy, but not nearly as Cyberpunk. The game is at best in a beta state. CDPR hid, well knowing, in what state the game is. They broke all their promises of what will be in the game. This game has no ai, no rpg, no choices. This game is nothing but a looter shooter on rails, with a city, wich is devoid of life. And no, Cyberpunk is actually their worst game to date. Hate to brake it to you, but the Witcher 3 is by far superior in everything but combat, compared to Cyberpunk.

NPCs in Witcher 3 go work the fields in the morning and go to bed in the evening. Cyberpunk NPCs circle around aimlessly no matter what.
It's stated in the automated response e-mail if you don't want gog wallet credits but your money back it will likely take up to a week. And it makes sense that it will not go instantenious because they have to get in contact with the credit card company / paypal or whatever payment provider you bought the game. I will give them that amount of time to figure it out.
And by the current state of the game I can imagine the support is a bit more busy with support tickets than usual.
There is another thing I want to say on the topic of refunds.

GOG committed to a policy of allowing refunds even after playing a game during a 30 day period after purchasing.
The Cyberpunk we got on launch is effectively an early access game and will remain one for months to come. Playtime should not influence the ability to refund this unfinished game, regardless of whether you played it for 2 hours or 200 hours during this launch window. This game is work in progress mislabeled and falsely marketed as a finished product.

I believe I have said all there is to say on this matter by now and will refer GOG to my forum posts should any questions about my refund request arise. I will not forget what CDPR has done here but life goes on and redistributing my money to developers who don't lie in my face is a first step to a better future.

I totally agree, I played 10 hours of this game. I started noticing all the broken AI and bugs and crashes after 5-6 hours. Let's not forget that everyone experience the game in their own personal and subjective way. I was super excited at first and all I wanted was to have fun with a product that I thought was complete and ready to be enjoyed, as they stated before "coming when it's ready". So having to admit that the game is just a early access took some time.

Went through the same process, friend. Millions more who preordered will get that experience.

happystuffing: Let's start a refund thread shall we?

I took up GOG on their refund policy. Instead I was given a canned email question if I would accept store credit instead. After giving them a hard NO, I would like a refund to my VISA, they have been radio silent.

This was two days ago.

Anyone else feel like they are being screwed over on this whole Cyberpunk 2077 experience? Or lack thereof..
I'm going to give them time to fix it, there's not too many games these days that are perfect out of the box.
