PaladinNO: Another negative surprise
Any positive surprises? I just quickly checked the apartments but haven't played it much yet. I have another game on-going so I don't have that much time and I am trying to wait for the expansions before I continue with my other playthroughs. I was supposed to start them when expansions come but I couldn't wait.

I know what you mean, I also got another game going. Plus the need to eventually finish Black Mesa from the backlog. WIth League of Legends in between. And only 24 hours in a day. It's rough. :/

Actually, I really liked the new apartments. It's just a quality-of-life improvement, and while the apartment is the place I definitely spend the least time, I really liked them. They are apparently what is considered a DLC this time (one of 3 parts, along with new weapons and scopes, plus the ability to change your character's look through the mirror in the apartments (which was previously only possible to do once, when making the character).

The Cyberpsycho mission series is now specifically listed, which is probably positive for some. This is subjective, but I actually preferred them listed as a random encounter.

Only briefly tried driving on the new patch, but the steering feels smoother now (playing on PC with mouse and keyboard). Whether that also hold true for the very tail-happy V-Tech remains to be seen. ^^
I feel more certain about making sharp turns with bikes at least, which was all over the place previously (using the handbrake, and seeing the bike do movements that would obviously have thrown me off every time, was the way to go before).

Haven't tried any of the new weapons and scopes. I got my stash full of guns already, and I really don't need anything else.

Having played a lot of Cyberpunk on patch 1.31, and inherently not liking changes, it mostly feels negative. Like the map feels absolutely clustered now, and with much slower navigation. Still no option for precise navigation markers, which I had really hoped for.

As the patch first failed (I always download and keep everything stored locally on my home server), and the filenames was wrong so the patch asked me for a "Part 2" part way through when patching the first time. REALLY glad I made a backup on the entire install directory before patching! Had to revert back again too, to give me all the extra perks and components since the mods were broken afterwards after I saw some of the changes.

But I only got it all set up last night, so only played a few hours on the new patch. Just started the Delamain quest.and am overall ~20 % into the game (this is my 4th playthrough). So I sadly cannot point at anything specific and go "yes! that was a good change!" at this point. I should probably do "The Beast in Me" quests soon (basically 4 Need for Speed driving missions), to check out the new driving / handling features for real.

I checked the stream btw. Good going of the dev - not at all suspicious camera panning away from the stacked cars that jumped, which they said wouldn't happen anymore (@ 00-49-15, if the stream times are identical everywhere). ^^

EDIT:
Okay, here's a definitely positive change: the visibility when driving in first-person! You can actually see something now! This used to be hopeless, with the camera angle way too low, but this has been fixed. Just referring to the stream now, I haven't tested this myself yet.

Is there any specific place the devs will check for bugs, or do I have to use the online form?

There's a few odd ones I've found, like the game seems to disregard the Body stat for locked doors now.
Unless I am completely misreading the symbols, and they mean something different, I was just doing the gig "Bring Me The Head of Gustavo Orta", which required Body 17 to break open the front door. Showed a closed fist on the door, and the number 17.

I only got Body 12 (with max in both Athletics, Annihilation and Street Brawler), using Gorilla Arms, and I ripped that thing apart like a tissue paper.

Hm. I wonder if Gorilla Arms bring +5 to strength. But in that case the door should show it is possible. Weird. Do you have a save before? What happens if you switch to Mantis Blades or something and try again?

Interesting. Yeah, I got a save. Made one specifically for testing purposes in this case. I'll switch the Arms to something else and check.

I found another door elsewhere a bit later, with the fist symbol and the number 18 on it (gig: "Sr. Ladrillo's Private Collection"), but it just told me "Authorization not found" when I got close to it, with no other options.

EDIT:
Sorry, I have apparently overwritten that save. Don't remember doing it, but it's not there anymore. Went as far back as I could (older saves are on patch 1.31), but the quest was already done and the door was just open, with no requirements on it.

That's good. So with base strength of 12 and Gorilla Arms you can open str 17 door, but not str 18 door. Now, if you try with other arms and cannot open the str 17 door we can deduct that Gorilla Arms bring +5 to str. Nice find.
Why is it so difficult for developers to make a PC version and a console version of their games? Make them separate! One should never effect the other.

Cd Projekt Red seems to have done it right at the beginning. They made a computer game for the PC and then worried about making it work on consoles. The reason I will never buy another Bethesda game is because they always went for the quick money and made their games for the console and then tried to port them to the PC. That is why Skyrim sucked and that is why Fallout 4 sucked. At least modders were able to save Skyrim. When Skyrim was first released It was unplayable on my system until a modder fixed it.

It seems obvious that what Cd Projekt Red did wrong was try to make their game universal.

My girlfriend loves this game and so do I. My computer is only about a year old, maybe two. The map lags annoyingly. That is my only major complaint. My girlfriends computer is only about four years old, and it took her 20 minutes to get through a conversation in game. They made the game unplayable for her. She is not about to run out and buy a new video card to play one game. So Cd Projekt Red just lost one customer. Good luck selling her another game unless you can fix this issue.

I love Cd Projekt Red. They are the only hope we have of seeing any more good computer games. But whoever is managing the decisions for Cyberpunk seems to be an idiot. I even accused them in one post of hiring someone from Bethesda.

From what I read about Cd Projekt Red's problems since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and seeing how they are seeming floundering about trying to fix them, I don't think they will be around much longer. I do hope that when Cd Prjekt Red goes under, that the development crew starts up another company immediately. The Witcher series was amazing. And the content in Cyberpunk is amazing as well.

Changing system requirements after they have sold the game should open them up for more class action law suites.
They could get away with it for us GOG users, but for those Steam users, who aren't given an option but to upgrade to the latest version, that isn't gonna fly.

Oh well, next time.

Or if you put one more in the str you could try it with the str 18 door. Just drop a save before.

Walking around with the Nanowire now. I want to check this issue.

I have to use cheats to add Body stats at this point, but I'm okay with that - wouldn't be my first time. ^^
Was level 50 / SC 50 before I even went into the hotel with Jackie. Found myself a "hidden" path outside Watson while the lockdown was still in effect, and was literally hammering Valentinos to grind for 80 hours.

I have done the mission with the level 18 door (edited my post above with specifics), so I fear that will just read "Open" now, but I'll check.

PaladinNO: I'd have to use cheats to add Body stats, but I'm okay with that
Usually I play my first playthrough of any game without cheats, tweaks or any other mods than graphics mods but once I've finished the game once, any subsequent playthrough I tweak as necessary. I already know the grind of getting the X, already done it once, the point of this playthrough is Y, not X, so I have no problem in using console to add X. And if I play it through the third time, this time concentrating on X, I have no problems adding Y with a console and grind the X.

Do what you got to do, man. The point of games is to have fun.

And if you could let me know how it goes with the doors. Now I'm invested in this. :D

Yep, same. This is my 4th playthrough, so the game is free game for me now as I see it. ^^
I once tried going 20 / 20 on everything - that was so broken, it wasn't fun at all!

For tweaks I give myself an early Rattler and the Red Shion. Plus a later Jackie's Tuned Arch (the Nomad exclusive vehicles).
I also remove the otherwise compulsory 3 points in whatever stat tree i decide I won't use for that particular playthrough, like instead of 3 Cool I set 0, and add the 3 points into something else.

I'll keep an eye out for locked doors. Still so early in the game (~20 % in), I know I'll find some later.
I will keep you posted so your investment won't go to waste. :)

Thanks! I appreciate.

I'll be checking it out myself when the expansions drop but for now I got another game I spend waaaay too much time playing.

It's confirmed.

Just met another door with a 14 Body requirement on it. I have 12 Body, and with the Nanowire I couldn't do anything with it.
Door was labeled "12 / 14 Body. Locked" in red text.

I went to see a ripperdoc, replaced the legendary Nanowire with the legendary Gorilla Arms, and I went back to the door.
Now it had a green label, saying "Body 14. Force open", and the door opened without issues.
Only to find a single Mk.1 Maxdoc inside...

Using Gorilla Arms adds an additional 6 to the Body stat (even says so in the description for them, I just noticed...).
"Gorilla Arms also provides a bonus of 6 to your Body Attribute checks"

Yup, that confirms it.

Hm. I wonder if there is a difference. Legendary +6, epic +5, etc...

Aww shucks. Well, at least we found out the gorilla arms do make a difference.

So they labelled it. Good to know. When the expansion comes I need to check if different levels add different amount of strength.

I have a brawler build that is using (blue) Gorilla Arms and when I advance that character I am sure to check that.

PaladinNO: What have you done, CDPR!?

Perks are reset - which I have already done 3 times to fix the existing mess with broken perks - I now have to spend a LOT of components to level up Skippy (auto scaling is now removed...?), Redscript is ruined, CyberEngineTweaks is ruined, Legendary Tech weapons are now tied into the Edgerunner Artisan perk.

I'll switch back to my backup, thank you very much, and give myself a few Million Eddies and components before patching again.

Think I'll give myself an additional 50 perk points while I'm at it too. 120 hours into the 4th playthrough, and the first time I didn't give in into giving myself resources - and now the official patch made me have to, to upgrade an existing, now broken item. I might as well start all over again at this point - which, if I do, won't happen for quite some time...

Surprises are good, but please give us the bad news - like broken major mods - in the patch notes as well. Hear you ghosted the devs for CyberEngineTweaks too.

Loading is now slower, map actually feels more messy (and slower to navigate), and this is only after 5 minutes with the 1.5 patch (before I reverted to 1.31).
I only had about 1500 Rare upgrade components for Skippy, which isn't nearly enough, so you think 300.000 would cover it?
Skippy was too good. Now it sucks, so you don't feel bad when you give it back. Seriously, the auto.upgrade was pretty much its only good quality, now that it doesn't do that you have a lot of better option.

<RANT>

I started using a mod to make the upgrade cost fixed, because the upgrade cost makes absolutely no sense: if it were tied to the target level, I could understand, but it's tied to the number of times you upgrade the item. and it's tied BACKWARDS.

You have two identical level 15 items; upgrading one of them costs 10 times as much as upgrading the other.

Which item should have the highest cost to upgrade:

1) the new item that was never upgraded
2) the item that you already spent tons of resources upgrading

If you answered 2), send your CV to CDPR, I hear they are hiring.
