frogthroat: Any positive surprises? I just quickly checked the apartments but haven't played it much yet. I have another game on-going so I don't have that much time and I am trying to wait for the expansions before I continue with my other playthroughs. I was supposed to start them when expansions come but I couldn't wait.
I know what you mean, I also got another game going. Plus the need to eventually finish Black Mesa from the backlog. WIth League of Legends in between. And only 24 hours in a day. It's rough. :/
Actually, I really liked the new apartments. It's just a quality-of-life improvement, and while the apartment is the place I definitely spend the least time, I really liked them. They are apparently what is considered a DLC this time (one of 3 parts, along with new weapons and scopes, plus the ability to change your character's look through the mirror in the apartments (which was previously only possible to do once, when making the character).
The Cyberpsycho mission series is now specifically listed, which is probably positive for some. This is subjective, but I actually preferred them listed as a random encounter.
Only briefly tried driving on the new patch, but the steering feels smoother now (playing on PC with mouse and keyboard). Whether that also hold true for the very tail-happy V-Tech remains to be seen. ^^
I feel more certain about making sharp turns with bikes at least, which was all over the place previously (using the handbrake, and seeing the bike do movements that would obviously have thrown me off every time, was the way to go before).
Haven't tried any of the new weapons and scopes. I got my stash full of guns already, and I really don't need anything else.
Having played a lot of Cyberpunk on patch 1.31, and inherently not liking changes, it mostly feels negative. Like the map feels absolutely clustered now, and with much slower navigation. Still no option for precise navigation markers, which I had really hoped for.
As the patch first failed (I always download and keep everything stored locally on my home server), and the filenames was wrong so the patch asked me for a "Part 2" part way through when patching the first time. REALLY glad I made a backup on the entire install directory before patching! Had to revert back again too, to give me all the extra perks and components since the mods were broken afterwards after I saw some of the changes.
But I only got it all set up last night, so only played a few hours on the new patch. Just started the Delamain quest.and am overall ~20 % into the game (this is my 4th playthrough). So I sadly cannot point at anything specific and go "yes! that was a good change!" at this point. I should probably do "The Beast in Me" quests soon (basically 4 Need for Speed driving missions), to check out the new driving / handling features for real.
I checked the stream btw. Good going of the dev - not at all suspicious camera panning away from the stacked cars that jumped, which they said wouldn't happen anymore (@ 00-49-15, if the stream times are identical everywhere). ^^
EDIT:
Okay, here's a definitely positive change: the visibility when driving in first-person! You can actually see something now! This used to be hopeless, with the camera angle way too low, but this has been fixed. Just referring to the stream now, I haven't tested this myself yet.
