midrand: I'm not quite sure where you are coming from, but majority of the players I have seen commenting, myself included, never mentioned asking for porn or wanting porn. There is more than enough porn out there on the internet. What we are complaining about is the cognitive dissonance between the setting (strip bar, prostitute, romance scene, naked character in the inventory menu including detailed genitals) and the visuals of heavily censored / clothed actors IN THOSE SETTINGS. This game aims to simulate a mature dystopian setting, where anything goes really. Yet the "adult" themes in this setting are so far removed from a typical adult scene you would see in a strip bar or red light district in real life today that it becomes a joke. This is what the complaint is about - if you are bringing those themes into your proclaimed adult game, then bring them in properly (and as advertised by CDPR).
Nobody forced CDPR to boast their genital choice diversity or to include the strip bars / prostitutes into their game. They could have avoided both by simply not having it in game - and then there would be no need to have nudity at all. Either do something properly or don't do it - that's the heart of the matter.
thefallenalchemist: How is that not porn then, mate? You want to see nudity, which is described as porn or X-rated content in most entertainment media. People walking around, naked, performing sexual gyrations or anything similar is going to roll into X-rated content. That's literally what pornographic material was. Playboy was an X-rated magazine, Hustler was an XXX-rated magazine. You're literally asking for X-rated content in a game that was headed to consoles. I play and have started writing professional reviews of adult games. I know what constitutes pornography. And I also know what will never be allowed on a console. That's full on graphic displays of nudity and sex all over the damn place, which is what you want.
This isn't about even pornography as an issue. This is the fact that there has never been an AO Game in the history of modern gaming for consoles. I can name off dozens of games that came close, but what you are asking for is straight up pornography and console restrictions set forth by the ESRB would not allow it. Same reason why hot selling steam games like Koikatsu Party when it first dropped are not making their way onto consoles. The best you can hope for are nudity mods, which will soon come. Fans will make it an X-rated game or an XXX-Rated game, but I don't think CDPR had Lula in mind when they were designing the sexual aspects of it.
Clearly you do not understand the difference between nudity, erotica and pornography despite claiming the opposite.
Pornography = printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate sexual excitement.
Nudity / Erotica = naked people and sexual innuendos, non-explicit sexual activity
Naked strippers in the bar do not pornography make.
Summertime saga, Bonetown etc are pornographic games. Nothing to do with Cyberpunk, Witcher, GTA V and other numerous titles that handle nudity and sexual themes in a socially acceptable manner.
Witcher 3 had plenty of tasteful depiction of nudity and sex that were within accepted parameters. This game for some reason is MUCH MORE CENSORED vs Witcher 3. The setting of Witcher 3 is much lighter and less dystopian, yet it is closer to reality than Cyberpunk. That's all the complaints are about - in addition to promises vs reality disconnect.
If you think that naked tits or hanging d*ck on its own constitutes pornography, then I cannot help you other than to suggest reading the definitions.
