I appreciate your post. I hope you'll excuse my making a few corrections, though. It's not everything that offends or upsets them, it's only anything that does not align with their cult's ideology. He's demonstrated that he's not afraid of offending people at all. The evidence points to him being a True Believer, a cultist who believes he is doing Great Things in the world. In the corporate world, it may not always be clear when a company is doing something for PR reasons, or to get certain people off its back, but I think it's usually clear when those at the top support a particular ideology.

Regarding science, you are right--the left has now become firmly anti-science and thoroughly reality-resistant. Just like any other cult.

I could understand if this was part of the lore of the world of cyberpunk and maybe it is. But they are not doing it because of that, they are doing it for the sake of it because "its the new and trendy thing to do". They call themselves progressives but when people ask the question "What are we progressing towards"? They have no answer.

In short, it is inclusion at the exclusion off scientific values and morals.

But still, I just can't help but ask what sort of pro-science you're actually seeing on the right? Economics is ignored habitually to find arguments to provide even more state support for rich people and big corporations. Polution of all kinds is played down because it interferes with profitability. And out on the religious side of "the right", you've got honest-to-God creationism. And you've got all the white supremacy race theory stupidity too. How did it go with all that "no big deal" right wing playing-down of covid-19? Was that good and sound science?

Also, if you want to use that left and right spectrum that aggressively then I can't help but wonder if you know what "left" and "right" is actually in reference to and what it means to be "left" or "right"?

Disclaimer, I'm not really with any one group. I tend to develope a strong dislike of all of them all for one reason or another. So if you feel that I'm ragging on you for being right-wingers, I'm not doing it because the extreme left is awesome or whatever, I'm simply doing it because I find your position irrational.

And another disclaimer, the right used to have this fairly strong case for being "better" because they at least understood economics whereas the "left" tended to be extremely ideology-driven and thus prone to stupid decisions. But at this point the right wing decisions are just as ideological rather than based on actual economics, and moderate leftists would actually appear to be the least irrational people around.

First thing is, whoever is offended by tlou2, needs more social contacts, needs to see the actual world the way it is. Since its a masterpiece in any category I can only make a guess and say you are offended by not being served your stereotypes.

What is 'politics'? There's no such thing, if by 'politics' you mean a category of subject matter that is somehow fundamentally different from all other subject matter, and thus taboo. Call it magical thinking, call it superstition--call it whatever, it's a ridiculous mindset that discourages discussion on the very subjects that are most important, and thus most deserving of discussion. That is inarguable.

I can't imagine why a person would want to so much as suggest that civil discussion on any subject must be feared, and that it is remotely appropriate for a "moderator" to take it upon himself to prevent such discussion. A right to do a thing--such as stifle discussion between adults, which is a right one has in a private setting such as this--is not the same thing as it being right to do it at any time, for any reason.

Having said that, I would agree that this particular thread is not necessarily the best--or most efficient--medium for actual discussion or debate. If you view yourself as truly open-minded (i.e. able to be swayed from your beliefs by fact and logic), I would be amenable to the use of the chat feature. I haven't really used it before, but it should greatly speed things up.

So, after this you are perfectly free to customize your character as male or female as you want to, you can mix body and voices and choose genitals. They just removed the binary gender category in the menu which would limit the possibilities of mixing options. But this makes the game more accessible to us all now. Trans people included.

As for the further development of the player's character, the role-playing game was made for this, so that a person could play a ROLE that PERSONALLY he likes. Whether this role is liked by others and whether it meets the desires of others is ABSOLUTELY UNIMPORTANT. What is important is that playing this role is NOT FORCED to other people. And if I WISH, for any reason, to play the role of a "natural" man - this is my RIGHT, as long as I do not demand the same from you.
