FallenHeroX1: I have a feeling of sadness when they say that the devs were playtesting from home because of covid. Don't know why. Guess it just reminds me that with all the hype and expectations, these are only human beings, I'm having a ton of fun with the game btw. Wish CDPR just stayed a PC developer, it's clear that consoles are too much for them and it would suit them better to have another team port the game after PC release has been fully patched. Last gen owners lose, CDPR gets their name dragged through the mud and the greedy investors don't care about either us or the team. They just want their checks. Capitilism.
Greedy shareholder like the founding members of CDPR who own major parts of the company?

I had a friend who bought some CDPR stock because he liked the company and believed them honest and capable.
Even those people at Morgan Stanley and Jeffries are human beings who play the PS 4 sometimes. Making money from money is rightfully frowned upon for many reasons but the investor's work in a functional economy is to give money to the people who will use it to create something valuable. In theory, everyone gets something worthwhile this way.
Sure, capitalism is driving injustice and exploitation, too. Economic growth is not something that comes from nothing. It comes from using up resources. In CDPR's case, that's the coal Poland's power plants use to give them the electricity that they need to develop games. It's the staff that gets crunched until something comes out at release day and so on.
The question is, was it worth it? Was this approach to game development sustainable and worthy of the resources invested? Did it please everyone and create value for gamers and shareholders alike?
Well, worth is subjective. In the end, the worth of all things is 0, anyway. What can you do with a mountain of gold if you happen to be the last human left? Nothing lasts forever. Isn't this why we create a system like capitalism in the first place? To make something more of the finite time life affords us?
