Well, I did the unthinkable and patched 2.0 with the new hotfix right before installing Phantom Liberty. Well, it flatlines. I either got a corrupted file, or this is GOG at it as usual. I guess it's gonna be a couple hour long wait to get all 26 new base game files.
Same here. Tried deleting my config file, save games and any mods but to no avail. 2.0 was working perfectly, now the game crashes on the red engine logo every time since installing the hotfix update.
Does anything happen if you click Manage Installation and then click Verify/Repair?
I am also having the same issue. I was just playing yesterday and today after the update it won't go past the splash screens at the beginning. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting my save games folder, deleting my appdata/local folder, deleting my crash report folder and deleting documents folder. Still crashes in the same spot.

I do not have the new DLC.
I have been playing on Linux and Wine-GE-Proton for a couple days and applied the hotfix today and now the game crashes on startup.

EDIT: I dont have the expansion

Same here!

Had no issues with 2.0 whatsoever. Now, I downloaded and installed the Hotfix-Patch, then the expansion and the game crashes regularly on start-up. I've updated my AMD graphics and it starts! YAY! Could play for 35 minutes, closed the game, restarted it and same problem again: crashes on start-up, third logo screen. Right now, I'm really furious on CDPR.

Has there been an official statement about the crashing yet? I tried a full reinstall, deleted all related folders, nothing works. I've noticed that running the game via Galaxy seems to be more stable than running it outside of the client, or it "fixes" the game to work better outside of the client for a little while, but being forced to launch the game through the client certainly isn't what I would call DRM-free.

If I have GOG Galaxy open it won't crash, but if I use the offline installers without Galaxy open, you can't get past the first loading screens.
Amazing how they claimed their "hotfix" was to STOP the crash on boot, what the actual hell is wrong with CDPR?
I have the same issue, the game crashes at the red engine splash screen.

What is wierd is that I installed the newest Nvidia driver and deleted the entire save folder, including settings and after that the game booted to menu once. I then shut it off and inserted my old save files, without the settings file. Now the game wont boot anymore, crashing after the red engine screen.

It also doesn't matter if I remove the save files or the settings files anymore, still crashes.
It is as if the old saves broke the game but if the game really was stable and wouldn't have crashed on new game I sadly can't say I didn't try to start a new game.

Edit: I want to add that the save files were created with patch 2.0. And my game install came from the offline installer 2.0 and was then patched to the new version before installing phantom liberty.

Interesting, so it's not just me. Yeah, I'm not even considering Cyberpunk to be DRM-free anymore until this gets fixed.
I have also been experiencing the crashing issue on my main PC, and just like people previously noted it only happens when GOG Galaxy is closed. I was briefly able to get it to work after reinstalling the Nvidia drivers but it stopped booting after that.

However I just installed the game on my Laptop that doesn’t even have GOG Galaxy installed and it is working perfectly fine even with the latest Nvidia drivers and absolutely no GOG processes running.

I don’t think this problem is directly caused by GOG Galaxy but it does seem to fix it for some reason.

Well, I downloaded the newest patch for 2.0 and installed PL just to have it constantly crash at the RedEngine logo. I have heard you and others say that it doesn't crash while using galaxy. Well, two and two equal four. Go into you install directory and delete the Galaxy64.dll. The game launches flawlessly now. Thanks for nothing, GOG.

Here's the kicker, if you delete Galaxy64.dll you no longer have access to the PL DLC, it just becomes the base game, proving there is DRM in the GOG version of the game.
Are you guys with crashes running AMD cards?

I see one guy with Nvidiacard
