gerwin79: I don't use many close combat mods, But I remember that the soldiers' uniform colour is hardcoded in the executable, and therefor the mods often have a modded executable to change the uniform colour.
So if you use the GoG executable, which is No-CD patched, you will get the original uniform colours, but it should be fine otherwise.
Splatsch: Hicks233: You should be ok. Otherwise you'd need either the disc or an iso to go with that modified executable. Try playing a little while using the mod and the gog executable, give the scenario builder a try to see if the different units display correctly and if they do, you're good to go.
The scenario editor is helpful for testing in general.
Splatsch: If it's only colours, that's not a big deal :)
I tried to play two missions, and it seems to work for what I can see. I was afraid that there may be more important things than only soldiers colours into the .exe (like AI or things like that).
For the scenario editor... It doesn't seems to work ? When I click next, it asks me names for saving the file, it saves the file without issue... and directly go back to the main menu. Is this normal ? It's doing this with GOG's version (without mod) and with mod installed.
Again, thank you very much for helping !
Alansa: I tried to install VetBob using CfgIV27 but I'm getting this error.
Splatsch: I was having the same issue... Until I tried to do the contrary of what's said in the readme. It said
"I. Installation If you are installing the CC4 Configuration Manager for the first time, simply unzip all the files into a dedicated folder outside CC4." I finally tried to unzip directly all the files contained into CfgIV27.zip in the installation folder of the game ("C:\GOG Games\Close Combat 4" for me), and it worked without issue after that :) (only replaced .exe by GOG's one after installing VetBob, because VetBob installs one who asks for CD)
Hope this helps !
Which game are you trying to use the Scenario Editor for? CC3 or CC4? The editor for CC4 was a mess and a big step back compared to CC3.
