Blood ... the best FPS ever made. Fantastic pacing. Great theme. Unforgettable music. Genius level design. Ah Blood.... It's a shame that Blood 2 sucks (and that there is no Shadow Warriors on GOG and TimeSplitter series for PC). Good to know that there are more Blood Fanatics out there ;)
Blood I agree is the best FPS ever designed and made!

The one-liners do it for me - you can go upto any sick part one levels, press space bar and Caleb will vocalise his opinions! "Mmm Ratburgers!"

Did anyone play the original Blood online on Mplayer.com or Kali? I was there and it rocked!

I played on Heat, Mplayer tended to be lagy for me & I was to stingy to pay for Kali or Ten... but it was SO much better on the LAN.

I swear, sometimes I wonder if I'm the only person who genuinely enjoyed Blood 2, warts and all. Sure it didn't live up to the hype (the devs kind of went full Molyneux with their predictions, if I recall the PC Gamer preview correctly), but once I settled down from the disappointment, and looked at the game for its own merits, then I actually had a real blast!

Dude, I made a mod for Blood 2. You know I love the game. We're definitely in the same boat. But you got to admit, it wasn't as polished as the first game.
Blood 3, where are you?

Yeah, I can easily agree that it was a lot more sloppily cobbled together than its predecessor.

What mod did you make, and could I play it?
I've been on a serious Blood kick recently, just beat Blood 1 and 2, and when I finished the second one I went to beat the Post Mortem episode in the first one and the Cryptic Passages (amazing maps in that episode). So now I'm back to Blood 2 playing the extremely little variety custom campaign maps that have been made for it.

@JM, you're not alone, Blood 2 really left a spot in my heart when I played it, and always will.
I am not sure I can agree that it's better than DOOM, but it's probably second to me. It's just fun, it's challenging and the level layouts are excellent. Completely and utterly underrated.

Well according to the PostMortem, Monolith is planning on doing something with the series. I recall someone comparing it to Zdaemon, not sure how that'll work, but I personally think THEY SHOULD FINISH THE STORY TO BLLOD 2!!!!

It's not the Monolith, it's the Jace Hall himself for his personal community effort in getting source code for first Blood released, as well as possible official modern source-port for it. That support is not actually a sequel to Blood 2: The Chosen, as these efforts are oriented on original first game.

Thanks for the info, when I heard of this the details were extremely vague so I couldn't really make an exact answer. By the way, they really need that source code out 15 years ago...
If I ever fall into so much money that I can actually use a lot of it for charities, I'm buying the source myself and releasing it for free. You can count on that.
