I'd like to know how to even make it through the first day!

All the guides on the net a useless, very contradictory, and don't even fit the game as it is offered here.....

Thanks for this guide, I've played exactly as it describe the first day, but without taking proper attention to choosing proper tools used by my docs... And only because of it I was failing after 3-4 days in the long run... Anyway, after spending almost 30h playing blindly, I have enough for now... This looks like only one-way to win game. Shame.

Can't say that I had the same experience though.
Haven't played in quite a while - still waiting for GOG to finally add and make the disk version available - but I do remember NEVER having followed any sort of guides or walkthroughs in the past. And ALWAYS managing to scrape by for a couple days without any real problems, while only relying on my own faculties and intuition.

Check the happiness of your customers!
Upgrade your Entrance Room (luxury version+ redline poster is enough) and a 145+ boobsized Nurse at the desk, then check out how the happyness of the waiting patients starts growing. Let them sit there (60-80 min i do), you can do this to max. male patients easier to reach up to 100% by this they enter the doctor with 80%-100% happiness
You can do the same in the waiting room, Booby nurse doing striptease all the time and the happiness keeps rising, somehow on male patients sometimes +5% by one jump ( 1 jump every couple of seconds)
