I believe there is actually a mod for just that, though I've never tried it. It's totally unbalance the game, but could be fun anyway. What are some combos you'd like to try? Kensai/Assassin, or Kensai/Conjurer/Assassin would be my go to!
"I want to be a munchkin".
You've never played a game in God Mode for a kick?

To clarify the only mods I have running right now are Tutu and the one that puts the extra merchants in BG2.

Also, when someone uses phrases like "munchkin", it feels like I'm being picked on for not being nerdy enough. lol

Heh, maybe I misunderstood.
Yeah, I sometimes use God Mode in games, just to check "what ifs". But I've never been a fan of meta gaming or trying to beat the game mechanics.
I have one of my characters running with two kits at the moment, but it's not really a mod. The character only officially has one kit, but I've added all of the other class's special abilities. (They're just spells, after all, and they're all listed in the 2DA files. Make an item that casts the appropriate spell on your character, and use the console to give yourself that item at the appropriate level, activate the item, and bam! Pseudo-kit. I use the Manual of Gainful Exercise as a base.) The only issue is that I have to make sure I don't use any of the forbidden gear for EITHER class, since the game won't do it for me, and I have to remember to check my journal to see if I'm due for any more abilities (I made a list).

The character is a multiclassed Wizard Slayer / Assassin, which seems to be working extremely well. I expect it'll work even better once I get Use Any Item. I'm not exactly sure how a mod would handle all of that automatically considering that the part of the file that defines which kit a character has is only a couple of bytes long.
"Munchkin", "meta gaming", "minmax", why do these terms stick in my craw so bad? I guess it's because they have negative connotations, so it feels like some smarmy uber-nerd is judging me from the other side of the planet. LOL.

Oh, I read "multiple kids", as in the mods that'll let you hit all the women in the party at the same time. Didn't quite see how that would totally unbalance the play though.

Hmm.. can you? Is there a mod for having your own jolly harem and a bunch of offspring?
I did make a fighter who dualed into a shapeshifter at level 7, but that's the closest I've gotten to actually making a multiple kit character. I suppose a kensai/swashbuckler multi might be good if you don't want spells on your character...

I dunno about a bunch of offspring, but I know there are mods to allow multiple romances out there.

Nice, I thought about something similar Shadow. The only way to make shapeshifters viable without a mod is to have some fighter levels. Brings their APR in line with a fighter when they get GW, plus it makes the 25 CON from GW actually do something (aside from regen).

I'd considered that same thing about Kensai/Swashbuckler, the extra AC would be nice until you can get UAI, then it'd just be bonus. It's funny how much AC a Thief can get in ToB, between DEX 18, White Dragon Scale and Amulet of the Master Harper you come in at -9! That isn't accounting for rings, cloak, helm, or bracers either.

Maybe a better question would be if you could dual TO a kit, what combo would you like? I know Fighter>Assassin would make me feel a lot better about an Assassin's Thac0 and HP.

Dualing into a kit from an un-kitted state is actually super-easy. Just go into Shadowkeeper or Near Infinity or whatever and change your kit first, save, THEN dual-class normally within the game. Sometimes you won't get all of the stuff you're supposed to get immediately, though, especially if there are a lot of kit features. They'll all activate by level 2 or 3, though. You CANNOT dual-class into a specialist mage this way, though. You'll get stuck at the spell selection screen and you won't be able to progress. Which is just as well because you can't get your bonus spells by changing the kit byte, apparently you only get the bonus spells at character creation.
An excellent method, I hadn't thought to edit the file prior to dualling, that makes it much simpler. I did however mean legally. LOL. If you're playing it straight, the game doesn't allow it.

You could probably approximate it by giving yourself an extra spell slot per level in Shadowkeeper and making sure you don't learn/memorize spells from the restricted schools of whatever specialist you're trying to be.....

Well for a specialist, you just have to dual-class into a generalist first and then change the kit after, which will both make it official and also disqualify your spells automatically. You'll still need to add the bonus spells, though, which has to be done through an ability/item or they'll reset down to "normal" (for a generalist) when you level up. When I made my Fighter->Necromancer I had to make a potion that give me one extra spell per level permanently or it wouldn't work correctly. After that it worked fine.
