Pajama: OK, I think I am missing the point - can you fill me in as I genuinely don't know what Beamdog have to do with why GOG chose not to allow non Galaxy users access to the file?
I know about Beamdog's shabby treatment regarding the Classic versions but I can't see what that has to do with GOG not providing a manual link when 1.3 is already on the server and can be downloaded via Galaxy. As I see it there seems to be no problem about allowing access to version 1.3 at all. The problem seems to be that GOG refuse to put up a manual link to the file.
Beamdog created this situation by destroying an otherwise adequate product. I am not saying that Beamdog is influencing GOG's decision to allow or not allow rollbacks, I am saying that Beamdog is directly responsible for GOG having to make a choice such as this; GOG is in a no-win situation because of Beamdog. Remember that GOG can only allow access to files that they are given permission to give access to.I know about Beamdog's shabby treatment regarding the Classic versions but I can't see what that has to do with GOG not providing a manual link when 1.3 is already on the server and can be downloaded via Galaxy. If it is Beamdog that are dictating what files are available for download (and I'm talking specifically about the 1.3 version and NOT the whole debacle about Classic versions) then GOG should say that they are not allowed to put up a manual link to download the file already available via Galaxy. As it stands, it just looks like GOG can't be bothered to make the file downloadable in any other way than by their 'optional' client which smacks of two tier customer service. It's either the Galaxy way or no way :(arxon

Looks like the 1.3 version is not available in Galaxy yet again. Why is GoG/Beamdog forcing me to get (in my opinion) the only playable version of BG 2 EE (I own!!!) trough illegal means is beyond my comprehension.

It is because they are showing some EA level of incompetence. They keep alienating fans with these stupid changes, and if someone complains they get labeled a sexist\bigot because the new expansion has a trans character.
