JClosed: The problems should be solved now.
But this is one of the reasons I prefer stand-alone installers over a client. Around the time people having problems with the client I could download the stand-alone installer files just fine (bought the game at that time to be precise).
Anyway - Having the installer files on a local storage (I use 3 to 6 Tb external USB drives) makes sure you always can install your games, even if there is a complete internet outage.
The offline installers use servers too. We dodged the bullet this time and were unaffected.
JClosed: Hmmm... After installing I skip the login (I still hesitate to create a account at Larian), and am greeted with an:
"We've detected a data mismatch, which may be caused by unsupported mods, corrupt files, or unknown data. This could cause crashes or issues running the game".
This is with a completely fresh install. Before installing I let the installer do a data integrity check, and let the game install after that check. I use no mods or anything.
Are the installer files corrupt? That would be strange because they passed the data integrity check. As said - I did not modified anything and don't use any mod or something. Just a clean install.
Has anyone else had that same message? Is it safe to ignore?
Coincidently I've been downloading BG3 offline installers as well (for the last 3 days). And I receive the same messages from their stupid launcher. You can get through the various messages to launch the game if you are patient.
I don't know what's wrong either.
