It gets to 92% and just gets stuck for no reason. there is no error message
and it does not resolve no matter how long I wait

They were having server problems. Not sure if it's cleared up now or not.
The problems should be solved now.

But this is one of the reasons I prefer stand-alone installers over a client. Around the time people having problems with the client I could download the stand-alone installer files just fine (bought the game at that time to be precise).

Anyway - Having the installer files on a local storage (I use 3 to 6 Tb external USB drives) makes sure you always can install your games, even if there is a complete internet outage.

I had the same problem today, but restarting Galaxy at 92% solved it for me.
Hmmm... After installing I skip the login (I still hesitate to create a account at Larian), and am greeted with an:

"We've detected a data mismatch, which may be caused by unsupported mods, corrupt files, or unknown data. This could cause crashes or issues running the game".

This is with a completely fresh install. Before installing I let the installer do a data integrity check, and let the game install after that check. I use no mods or anything.

Are the installer files corrupt? That would be strange because they passed the data integrity check. As said - I did not modified anything and don't use any mod or something. Just a clean install.

Has anyone else had that same message? Is it safe to ignore?

The offline installers use servers too. We dodged the bullet this time and were unaffected.

Coincidently I've been downloading BG3 offline installers as well (for the last 3 days). And I receive the same messages from their stupid launcher. You can get through the various messages to launch the game if you are patient.

I don't know what's wrong either.

So far everything seems to work normally. I can create a character, and I have played the first few minutes. I have not encountered any error so far. All settings and dice rolls seem to work fine. I still feel a bit uneasy, because you never know if it's going to bite you in the back later on.

I strongly suspect it has something to do with not being logged in, and/or having created an account, with/on the Larian Studios website. If that's the case we can neglect it (probably), but I cannot find any information on that.

Oh well - For me it's a test run until the final (real) version becomes available on the 3th. So far I am deeply impressed with this game, but of course I am only starting...

I switched to using bg.exe to start it rather than the annoying launcher.
the data mismatch is the backend change to muliplayer server at Larian end and most people never notice it but now when you make a online game there is the option to select BG3 or something else

the Gog offline installers are out of date but the release build is due out soon so they are prob waiting for that
Yeahhh... When are off-line installers NOT out of date? Of course they are out of date, because that bloody Galaxy has all priority. How difficult can it be to give off-line users the same update as Galaxy users have gotten? Are we second citizens or something? We are also paying costumers you know....

Sometimes I really hate that Galaxy with a burning passion...

My apologies if I am wrong here, but when you get this treatment over and over again, it's only natural to expect the worst.

yes and no
i mean the off line istalls are done by the Gog staff as a bonus so if you think that makes you 2nd class try going and getting one from Steam

as for being out of date = yes but its a 80gb game and the change of having a bg3 or other buttion in multiplayer boils down to a few lines of code and maybe 4mb extra file size which doesn't actually stop you playing anything anyway

add in the fact the BG3 is now so big that it is literally cause the internet to crash with everyone jumping on the band wagon and i think its great that Gog has the option to be included

Now. Right now the BG3 installers are not out of date. That's why I downloaded them, so I can warehouse the last EA version.
