For that price still ok

The Story is quite simple, as are the gamemechanics and the "RPG"-System that are both easy to learn and to master. The battlesfields are small and have nothing special to pay attention at and you only need basic tactics to win. If you play all optional battles you will have around 8-10 hours of gameplay without any reason to replay it because the gameplay, the progress of the story, the availability of army and equipment..even the battles itself are all linear. But for that price is it still ok if you like the artwork. PS: The games states to be book I of ?

Not A Bad Little Game

While it may not be the deepest most strategic game ever made...not by a long shot in fact but...it definitely has its charm and is worth looking into. The graphics are cute and cartoonish which suit the games simplistic desing just fine. Music and sound effects are fitting and quite pleasant. In terms of gameplay it is very straightforward hex based combat...reminiscent of some of the 16 bit classics. Your hero and squad grow in abilities in a fairly typical fashion. The difficulty is not staggerig but it does ramp up smoothly and leads you to a satisfying conclusion when all is said and done. Braveland is a perfect coffee break strategy game...you can play it in small chunks and you are never overwhelmed at what you need to deal with when you come back to it. For the price, its an excellent fun little game that doesn't pretend to be any more than it is. Definitely worth picking up if you want a fun and quick little strategy fix.

Coffe-break Heroes

It's a simple game. And that is not a bad thing. It's basicly something like King's Bounty or Heroes of Might & Magic stripped to it's bare essentials. Obviously, it is not a deep, hardcore strategy game. But the tactical, turned based battles are still a lot of fun, the cartoonish, colourful graphics are nice to look at and suit the game well. If you're looking for a dose of tactical gameplay in a lighthearted enviroment, just some fun in between bigger games, this is a great choice, easy to pick up and play.

turn-based strategy for 5-8 yo kids

well, its a simple, turn-based strategy game.... nothing unique in here.... short game.... you start, and you join battles (linear) in which you fight the opponents.... not much configuration (shield/weapons/soldiers/skills) this is more like a mobile-phone game....when you have 20-30 mins to waste or a game to play when your brain-activity goes down to zero, or to make a kid (5-8 years old) happy....

for the cost of a hamburger it took me about 30 - 45 minutes before starting to lose interest. Considering this can happen with AAA titles, this is a good investment. There is no ''wow'' factor but there also isn't anything to dislike in the design and presentation of the product.
