Support Flatpak for Linux distribution
I believe GOG can implement its own Flatpak repository with authentications info, of the associated GOG account, in the RuntimeRepo URL. Installation of games can be provided in .flatpakref format in the user profile page.
docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/repositories.html
Games can even be updated through the Flatpak ecosystem. GOG Galaxy can simply be a manager of flatpak packages of GOG's flatpak repo.
SteamDeck's recommended way to install desktop application is Flatpak. By supporting Flatpak, installation GOG titles on SteamDeck would be trivial.
But in 2022 GOG forgets to make available for download the native Linux versions provided with the Windows and Mac versions by the developers. So I think we have other concerns.
Only for Windows games I can accept the idea, but it is necessary to keep the Schell ".sh" script for native games. (there are many misconceptions about schell, among developers who don't know how to use it, like misconceptions about Linux among Windows users).
Honestly, this isn't a bad idea; anyone claiming using Flatpak would tarnish the reputation of Snap clearly hasn't done the research that Snap is the slowest of the three agnostic packages.
That aside, AppImage is honestly the better option here; I like flatpak but flatpaks are not known for GUI installation support. AppImages won't confuse people and are more portable; better hands-down.
Newcomers to Linux who will not understand how to install their game! - Extra work for GOG or the developer that will delay the release of Linux games! - A very heavy system that slows down the games and will make a bad reputation for the developer, and Linux’s outstanding performance! - and Snap! and AppImage!

I'd rather not have anything to do with flatpak. Optional at best.
A duplicate wish here: www.gog.com/wishlist/site/consider_flatpak_as_an_option_for_distributing_linux_games_that_do_not_have_a_native_port – either way, +1 vote for this wish from me
I think this is ready to be used.
