Disable google spying on gog.com
+1 Google can go and f*ck itself! AHAHAHAHAHA
If you're reading this: don't trust Nano Defender anymore XD
It seems it will be illegal in the EU:

tutanota.com/blog/posts/google-analytics/</a>
I agree that this should be removed or turned off. I also use both NoScript and PiHole, so these packets don't ever get sent on my network. But people shouldn't have to be technical to not get spied on.
Also, Firefox is not a fix. One of the most blocked trackers on my network is "incoming.telemetry.mozilla.org". Firefox tracks you themselves.
Google analytics is the most reliable of its counterparts. It makes sense why they use it. Anyone can opt out if they so choose. If you did, then congrats. Those who care about that are the ones that are gonna do it. For anyone else it's simply just there. Also don't forget GOG is a business at the end of the day. They want to use the most reliable and accurate tools. Especially when it comes to analytics.
i was looking for this wish. thank you! voting up
Please remove GOOGLE spying!
This company is the biggest shit
for short term a opt-out cookie for google analytics could be a concession/tradeoff
In galaxy client page is advertised that there is no spying or data sharing. If that is tru why should the webpage be any different?
I would be ok with self hosted analytics like Matomo (former Piwik) matomo.org/
I suggest removing analytics entirely (& facebook), but if they still want to keep it, there are alternatives here: ethical.net/resources/?resource-category=analytics
Just to be clear. Every big company uses Google Analytics to see, where the users come from, what the users like to see and so on. If they stop using Google Analytics, they will use something else. It will be the same, just another company. But since google indexes ALL registered pages in their search engine, you won't be save either with or without analytics
Google is not the nice company they pretend to be
Yes
If you're reading this: Firefox, uBlock Origin, Nano Defender, Restore Old Theme of YouTube, GoodTwitter, Decentraleyes and View Image
@V.A. iframes can theoretically be sandboxed, so as I start I am more concerned with the Google Tag Manager (Analytics) scripts.
Use matomo you still get analytic datas, while having full control over them
some games have youtube frame, which also can spy too
Using Firefox is a good first step in protecting your privacy, it seems
