Continue to reject microtransactions and in game stores
No microtransactions. Don't give a fuck really. Keep that cancer growing underneath the belly of already fat rich fucks. Don't need it here.
I agree. GOG should absolutely reject microtransactions. All games that include them should be banned from GOG. Yes, that includes Gwent - CDPR should sell it on the mobile stores (if they must), but it's not appropriate here.
@addictedtosleep I think you're overlooking the fact that GoG is owned by CD Projekt Red who's card game GWENT contains an in-game store and micro transactions. They arn't going to ban themselves. Perhaps a better suggestion would be to put a notice in the store sidebar to indicate that this game allows for in game purchases (similar to how iTunes does it). No surprises that way. But in app purchases arn't always 100% bad so blanket bans arn't going to be wanted by the entire community.
@StampederMX GOG has a very powerful way to intervene. It's called contract terms.
@STAMPEDERMX Woah, somebody has a chip on their shoulder. You won't find any self-help gurus here, kid. I think you're kinda ape-ish for your posting. GOG actively prevents and filters games that have microtransactions and ingame stores. GOG definitely has a way to intervene you dolt, by refusing to sell games that allow these. Up to this moment, this is a fact. I'm just "wishing" they will continue to do so, "until you have a solid way to manage them." After reading your other posts, I get that you're kinda a ... troll. An ugly one too.
The blind being led by, then leading, the blind.
What kind of games that should not be available on GOG is really none of your concern. Moreover, you have mistaken something: GOG sells games, and the games sell those in-game stuffs. GOG has no way to intervene. If you do not understand the way games are made and run, I suggest you read up first before putting up more of such pointless wishes.
The only way to manage microtransactions is to avoid them.
By allowing microtransactions, developers show that they do not care for your gaming experience at all. So why should you care for them? Don't buy, don't play and don't talk about those games - let them die in oblivion, where they deserve to be.
