When this game was released, it shipped with a terrible StarForce copy protection system that could cause the system to stop working properly.
Back then I bought the game on CD/DVD, played it through once and then reinstalled Windows XP. I never played it again after that because I didn't want to reinstall Windows.
I would therefore very much welcome a DRM-free version of GOG.
