Peeto2 I am really interested what they will do with warcraft 1. I wish, controls will be reworked just a bit, it is too much archaic for today, but still its great game. Warcraft 2 it is still very good, so I think they will do nothing with it, just compatible mode like with diablo 1. Can not wait. Day 1 purchase.
SpqPL My dream is to play Full remastered version of WarCraft Orcs and Humans (with War2 HUD) and Warcraft 2 with both Expansions in real HD... The remaster like StarCraft. Maybe someday, but for now cant wait to plat one of My fav RTS. An dlike someone says I want it fron Legal and Checked Place Not from some suspicious sites ;).

Devaizter WE DID IT!!! Blizzard just announced that Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and Warcraft II are coming to GOG! Also Diablo 1 and Diablo 1 HD Edition are now on GOG!

Dsurian I'm sure getting the rights from Blizzard will be a headache, but common - if they have no interest in releasing 1&2, might as well let someone else. They could even make money from it!

Ironfist85hu I contacted Blizzard the other day, and asked if i can buy these on battle.net. Nope, they said, get a physical copy of the game, they don't really care about Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 (actually they don't care about any Blizzard Classic games. Lost Vikings, Diablo 1, maybe 2 as well). I asked the support if they plan to lend these titles to gog.com, or something, they answered that it is not their responsibility, ask higher authority on forums. Meh. I don't think, that simple gamers could convinve Blizzard suits to such thing, but please GOG, could you do it? It would be a very good business for everyone. Blizzard? A lot of people would buy their older games again, they would get money for them again. Gog? A lot of people would instant buy all of them - that would be a lot of money. Players? Well, i needless to say why we would win in a transaction like this. :D
So please contact Blizzard!

Actually Warcraft Orcs & Humans IS Abandonware. The reason you don't see it all over the place is because it's DOS based. Abandonware doesn't mean that the old copyright doesn't exist, it means that the company has abandoned the software. Much like Windows XP has been abandoned. Blizzard doesn't CARE about WAR1. The product entered "end of life" a long time ago. Hell, it was released in 1994. Blizzard is no longer supporting Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, nor are they supporting Warcraft 2 (DOS) anymore. In fact, technically, Blizzard doesn't support the Battle.Net edition either. The DOS versions simply won't run without an emulator, but if you can get a copy of the Battle.Net edition of Warcraft 2 + Beyond the Dark Portal, you've got a good chance of running it on more contemporary hardware.

Gog, if you can make this happen, please do so. It's safe to say that a pack containing both would sell well!
Ps: No, wc2 does not work out of the box. It requires dosbox which is the convenience of gog.
KenrilZ As with the Diablo entry, Blizzard has their own digital distribution set up, so it's unlikely we'll ever see Blizzard games on GoG.com.

BFTU While it's unlikely we'll see WC 1/2 on GOG anytime soon, it would be great to have a place to easily get them without paying a large amount for them 2nd hand (in addition to running on modern systems). I've seen a few people labeling these as "Abandonware", but they're still technically under some form of copyright, and thus, only legally obtainable second hand.
UdoKrawallo And for what reason should we need that on GOG? WC1 is abandonware, everyone can play it easily with DosBox. WC2 BattleNet edition is still available for cheap price and runs on modern systems. Don´t see why we need this games on GOG.

baliebox4916 HELL YES this would be great with better online support seeing how the only wc2 server in the world is war2.ru and theres only 30-50 people playing which is not alot for a battle net server so i would kill for a better online warcraft 1 & 2 expereince without getting my ass beat by battlenet/msngz/heatdotnet/mplayer.com veterans for 1999 everytime i play online and this would probally breath new life into an already dying game that i love and was the game that got me back into gaming back in early 2015 after a 3 year burn out after playing on the ps3, ds and psp
Licanpro At age of 6, I was delivering newspaper and helping out neighbors and family friends in garden to get money for my first pentium 586 PC, my first two games were Warcraft 2 and Starcraft. Starcraft did not run unfortunately due to low pc but I could run Warcraft 2!. That`s right this was my first game and I loved it. GOG please restore this forgotten gem to society! You already have a customer (me) and according to the topic thousands of others!
ratnadhatamam Blizzard will never give out any of their games. The one thing that might happen is HD remakes. SC is the first, and probably not the last.

MattHornet This will never, ever happen. If Blizzard through some miracle changes their mind and restores W1 and W2 for release, it will be on Battle.Net (or whatever it's called now) alongside Diablo 1 and all the others. They will *not* be releasing them on GOG.
