andreasaspenberg2 they should release it together with the expansion. it does not need a lot of work to run either. it crash in windows 8 but works fairly well in windows 7 and 10. there is rendering issues with direct 3d on modern gpus however and rendering issues with direct draw in windows 7. multiplayer works however. it does have the normal ip version 4 and ip version 6 conflict, forcing the removal of ip version 6. it could be released with minimal work. there was several unofficial patches and a remaster, though the remaster ended production before its multiplayer was finished.

Rest assured, the community is still very much alive, just swap out the 'com' for a 'DE'....
This game is still beloved by many, and the OpenSource engine is still available to all.

A long time ago I only played the demo of this game, but I'd love to play it all. Recently I am in a phase of going back to the games I wanted to play when I was young. UA is one of those games.
ion00 This game is sadly owned by Microsoft so I doubt we will ever get an official re-release. The good news is that there is a fan community called Metropolis Dawn that has us covered. Check them out. They even made mods for it.

Here is the link: www.myabandonware.com/game/urban-assault-a4i#download Small advice, download it in iso version because the "rip" version does not contain the sounds of the lady who speaks in games, nor cinematics! So I recommend the iso version!
psychops You have no idea the trouble that I am going through to try to continue playing this game, which is my favorite. Not only am I fighting modern hardware/drivers which keeps breaking it, but I have the double complication of trying to keep playing it with my Force Feedback Sidewinder joystick. Yes, the first one, with the 15 pin game port. At this point looks like I will be buying an old PC from eBay just for this, to which I will be adding an old SoundBlaster card with the game port. I would buy this game from gog.com in an instant!

foxylad15 This game was amazing. So innovative, being able to use strategy and FPS action to be able to defeat the other army. Would love for this to be remastered, or at least playable on modern day computers!

HaraDaya For years I thought what I played was Battlezone. Nope, it was Urban Assault. It was a great mix of RTS and vehicle action.
Aakkonen This game is now vaporware. Microsoft doesn't own the IP anymore. its copyright ended at 2016 so GOG NOW IS THE TIME!
