3DMaster Agreed, I would love the X-Files game to brought up to snuff, but I'm pretty sure The X-Files game was 16-bit Windows application running W95/W98.
GOG would either give you a tutorial on how to reinstate 16-bit compatibility in your modern operating system or completely recompile the source code (if it is still around somewhere, which gets us legal issues) to a 32-bit or even 64-bit program.
Finally there's all the FMVs; the game can only run in 640x480; which will get blurry one way or another; whether we blow it up, or run it in 640x480; non-native resolutions with modern monitor technology means the picture becomes unclear.
Finally there's the question of the footage itself; is the film still around; is it stored somewhere where people can find, and not wasting away in someone's basement or destroyed. X-Files show and thus the game was filmed on 35 millimeter, thus enough information for 2160p (and even 3340p) video files.
With GOG mostly just bringing games AS-IS to the store, that can just be installed (with a dosbox) and go; it would require GOG to shift to do a lot more than they normally do, even with the barest minimum of a release.
I think it is unlikely GOG will do this, and if they're going with the barest minimum, I must say, I rather someone restore (remake?) this game to its full potential glory if that is possible.

I have also always been a fan of point and click adventure games so when I heard about this game I knew I wanted to play it. I hope they can get it here on GOG, would be awesome! :)

lunayoshi I'm surprised it's become so expensive. It was something like $20 in the mid 2000s. But anyway, my copy freezes on Windows 10, so yeah, GOG, it'd be great if you could get this modernized. It holds up really well graphic-wise, but the compatibility... :(
