DustynB @ DeepakNaik Everybody posting on here knows it is free. The whole point of us wanting it released on GOG, and am willing to spend money on it, is because GOG handles the optimization so it runs on newer systems. I am willing to spend $10 so I don't have to search forum after forum for info, then digging thru old websites trying to find ancient patches until finally as you start to slam your head against the wall you finally get the game to run.

KZadBhat420 I remember the demo from a computer magazine demo CD, can't even remember which magazine now. Not only this, but Fallout: Tactics, SWAT 3, and Diablo II. Admittedly got the magazine because Fallout: Tactics was on the cover, but so much of the rest was great, including this. I never did find a copy for sale in the store, and couldn't really order much online quite yet. Not really reputably, anyway. But so wished I could, because it was awesome!
Such a better way of playing, and telling the story, than the Capcom and KOEI outings in the story line had been. (Destiny of an Emperor and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, both on NES.) And, unlike so many RTSes of the time, they actually understood that humans shouldn't be forced to have the disadvantage of only being able to give one order at a time while the computer can do everything at once, so you can pause and give orders. It provides an opportunity for some pretty complex tactics, without forcing you to micromanage everything. All so wonderfully put together and balanced. Too bad they never got the coverage and sales they deserved for this, and I hope it can get a new chance very soon . . . along with the sequel I only just now learned about, Dragon Throne!
Additional oddities, merely bits of trivia. The magazine that did the demos had the photos for this and Fallout: Tactics backwards . . . that provided a little confusion at first. Also, Fate of the Dragon acted weird with S3 Virge graphics, and the colors were reversed. I had to run the Scitech Display Doctor graphics driver to get the colors to display properly.
Wanderingigor So when i heared they called the new historical Total War , Three Kingdoms i knew there was a better game under that title.

Sven2k A few days ago I decided to play Deus Ex again, and while waiting for the game and GMDX mod to install, I decided to look through the bundled leaflets inside the disk case. One of them showcased games published by EISODS, and they were a bundle of CD cases, covering one another. I never payed much attention before, but with the corner of my eye I saw small parts of a familiar font and logo. "Fate of" Curiosity got the best of me and I still had a few min left of installing, so why not investigate what games EIDOS published. And lord and behold I rediscovered this gem. I fondly remember playing the demo back in the day and simply adoring the art direction. But sadly, never owned the full thing. And as time past by, forgot about it. And now that I have memories of it, crawling all around my head, I have an utmost urge to play it again. From what I can see, this request has been opened for a long time. And upvotes are sadly not enough to grab much attention. But still, even if it takes a few years, I really hope to one day get the chance to replay this.
