GusMix I really wish you could still buy it legally. Isn’t it crazy that people are forced to pirate these days cause of corporate greed? EA Greeed will never let you buy the game cause they want you to spend on Sims 4 microtransactions. Sims 2 is a complete game and has great features and gameplay. Sims 4 is boring and is literally only a storefront disguised as a game.

the ps5 has no games Sims 1 and 2 absolutely satisfy the criteria: 1) Good, 2) Old, and 3) Game. They're exactly the types of games that would be at home here.

Humble_B Gimme, gimme gimme! I have all of the discs, but the games won't install/run properly on Windows 10. I think the quantity of licensed music may also play a part in hindering such a release, in which case I would understand that they would have to release the expansions separately, which is still preferable to dusting off roughly 27 discs. I won't touch The Sims 3 and especially not 4 with a 10 foot pole, but I'm happy to play the first two Sims games forever.
Lucinice27 There's unfortunately no way to buy the sims 2 digitally. That needs to change.

Alexar12 Pleeeeease GOG! Come on! This is one of the most favorite game from my childhood. Sims 2 can't be purchased, and pirate version don't work properly on Windows 10, so The Sims 2 Complete Edition in GOG would be an instant buy.

fall3nelite It doesn't look like they even sell it on Origin anymore for some reason. The game works fine on Windows 10 although it needed some tweaks the last time I installed it. I would love to see the game on GOG modified for full Windows 10 compatibility. I would buy the game again for sure.

RetroGamingComp I would happily buy this. I redeemed this on origin and installed it on 3 computers and now my activation is completely hosed up.

madeaj I hope EA/Origin checks this out. Because there are so many people who would buy it and they get the goodwill of making a very much wanted game available to the public, DRM free. It might improve their image. A lot.
TheSteelRodent EA gave away Sims 2 complete just before they took it down and it was only available for 30 days. I'm still bugging them to put it back on sale since I lost the discs.
Even at 100 € which was the last price, the complete collection is a better game than Sims 3 and 4.
But as to the SecuROM: Sims 2 base game came with SecuROM 2 and so did the first two expansions. Then EA switched SecuROM 3 for the next few releases, which didn't work properly and resulted in a ton of corruption and unplayable games (the amount of savefiles Maxis asked us to mail them for investigation and correction is ridiculous). So halfway through the game's life they switched back to SecuROM 2 and the corruption problem went away.
But EA has a history of not released games without DRM of some sort. Whether it's SecuROM, Tages, or Origin, there's always a DRM somewhere.
