Phonzotar I'm not techie enough to get my original CD running on my current laptop, so i'd buy it here if it were possible... bought it because i loved the Residents back then and i still love their older stuff... Bad day on the midway is a gem, i still wait for another game that let's you learn about the character you're playing by using realistic thought fragments instead of well formulated sentences - like hitchhiking the subconscious... would love to know how it feels like from today's perspective :)
Z0ie4 I concur! Bad Day on the Midway needs to be re-released asap. You rarely see games with so much originality and imagination as BDOTM. Yeah, it's interface was buggy, but I can live with that, in fact that adds charm to the game.
cams3107 Bad Day on the Midway is one of the best examples of interactive storytelling of it's time. And is sadly being forgotten because of the lack of a rerealese.
I know, NightDive claims the source code is forever gone. But if doesn't ever happen, let this page be proof how much of an impact it caused on those who played it. And how much curiosity it generated on those who weren't as lucky.

SleepingVillage Obscure gems like these is what makes GOG great. If anything deserves to be on here, this game does.
FlamingFirewire NightDive actually tried to release this at one point, but had to shelve the idea after it was discovered that the source code was no longer available :( - hope this and other games like it can see a new day through enterprising reverse-engineers.

IAmSinistar I have this on CDROM and would love to see it on GOG. Licensing issues may prevent that, however. Still, hope granted and vote given.
SnowballKiller I watched a playthrough of the game and I would love to play it myself, but paying 40$ (+shipping) for a version with with the Novel and a non-compatible game is just to much for 2 hours stroy. I think this game has to be on gog for 10$! Or maybe for 15$ with the Have A Bad Day OST!

cornbredx I really miss CD rom experiences like this one. Much like Dear Esther, it's not really a game but a interactive story, and a crazy one, but man what I'd give to be able to play it again. I don't know that that's actually feasible (it would look awful) but one can dream.
Jot the Gowk I remember reading a review of this in some magazine back in the mid-'90s, and being fascinated by it. Years later, I'm a huge Residents fan, and am very disappointed to have missed out on this.
