Ainar86 This may have been the first PC game I ever played (definitely one of the first) and I'd love to re-kindle the nostalgia without having to use dosbox and the like. A proper port for modern machines, a remake, a continuation, just give me something, anything :)

hyperagathon The free Blizzard version has some issues - they've patched the executable for some reason and the sound doesn't work. I suppose that's what they fix through their launcher, but that's Windows-only, and I really wonder why they had to patch DOSBox (see the source) when the abandonware version works perfectly.

OCD_Monkey How many votes does it take for gog.com to get going on a request? Blizzard seems to own the rights to The Lost Vikings and Blizzard is owned by the same company as Activision which has let gog.com sell games before.

Diduz Come on! :-) You already got Interplay among your supported publishers, the PC version of The Lost Vikings is one of the best platform-arcade PC portings of its time (320x240 resolution, smooth 60hz scrolling). And the game is FUNNY.

RaginRondo This was the first game I ever bought online (though at the time, it was my parents that had to buy it for me!). It took sooooo long to download over our awful 28.8 internet connection, but absolutely worth it. Smart, funny and incredibly entertaining platformer.

BadJackDaniels The Lost Vikings is a side-scrolling platform puzzle game with a twist. Instead of one character who can jump, run, shoot, collect items, flip switches and so on, there are three different characters, each with his own skills. Eric the Swift can jump, run and bash through walls with his tough helmet. Olaf the Stout has a shield which can block attacks, function as an air glider or as a step to stand on. Baleog the Fierce can shoot things with his arrows (including switches) or kill things with his sword. The player has to use the three Vikings as a team if he wants to get past the increasingly difficult levels and puzzles.
