I think this is a longest of longshots due to multiple parties and license agreements since it is based on the disney adaptation of a book series. Therefore it most likely has to go through Not only activision but also disney and the current parties responsible for the Lloyd Alexander estate.

This was one of my favorite games growing up, and it still breaks my heart that I don't have it anymore. Please, GOG, is there a way to get it on here?

Al Lowe says that Sierra didn't have any interest in this title and put it on his website - it doesn't mean it was officially released as freeware for public domain. If anyone at GOG can check this and see if Activision would be willing to release it on GOG (or confirm it is freeware) that would be great!
