When I was a kid I played this game to death. There is a LOT to see and do in this game, and I never got it all in my first playthrough. Many of the quests, and choices you make with NPCs will have consequences later. Many of the best items will become accessible in earlier zones after fulfilling criteria much further into the game, rewarding exploration. The combat is slick and intuitive but has some complexity such as positioning, managing cooldowns, using the right elemental weapons and even has some decent stealth sections. If I still had it for PS2 I'd be on about my 6th playthrough.. I want it for PC so I can play it forever :D

Tau12us I remember playing summoner on my friends PS2 and he got summoner 2 but would not let me play it because he then would be forced to let his sister play it and she repeatedly save over his file, it would be nice if it came out on pc so I could play it.

andreasaspenberg2 while summoner 1 had a pc release, summoner 2 did not. that means that gog would need to supply it with an emulator. that means that they need both a deal with the publisher and a deal with the emulator developer. it is tricky. i support it however.

I want to play this so badly, but I want to play it on pc or a ps4 (or hell even on the switch).
Just about to finish up the first one, remember I loved these games as a kid.
JesterAvidi I played so much of the original summoner on PC (still have original discs). But Summoner 2 is a game that I played on ps2 a little before ps3 was released, and god I wish I played more of it... I will cherish the brief memories I had with it.

ltark1 This game being ported is probably a far off dream, but for it and its prequel to come to gog would be absolutely appropriate. The summoner games are true gems of story teling, even if they looked like hell when they came out. I cant think of a better example of a good old game from the early oughts

F4LL0UT Oh, my brother just found my copy but... the discs are mislabeled. They say Summoner 2 but I checked on YT and the game is actually Summoner 1. I don't friggin' believe it... so yeah, this is a console exclusive, it seems.
F4LL0UT There actually exists a PC version of Summoner 2, I own the discs. I'm beginning to think that the game never got a major commercial release but got bundled with some hardware, at least the Radeon 9800 SE from Powecolor. Dang, will have to check it out when I get to my parents' place next time, the discs have to be there.
