tfishell @Gavos: There are *probably* online guides to getting your CD version running, but you'd have to do a bit of research.
Gavos Already have disc version of this but does not work that well with 64 bit Windows 7 OS. Is it worth buying GOG Digital version and are there any differences between GOG version and original disc version I have?

mdmeadow No doubt about it, i'd buy a copy. Recently replayed xwing and tie fighter from beginning to end. I've also seen all the fan mods with graphics improvements - many look pretty good. Would be great if you included some of those as well.

jayolsen I would buy "X-Wing Alliance" from GOG, I loved that game, but I hated the glitch that I encountered that would not allow me to destroy the power regulator at the core of the new death star that I needed to do to finish the game. Fix that bug and put the game up for sale and I'll buy it from you GOG. And thanks for the good old games, they're better than most of the new games.

OptimusSkywalker1997 @Destex I played the game 2 years ago, I never finished any of the previous games in the series first, but I still really enjoyed it. it's too bad that it SPOILER ALERT did not have a true ending. I am sure you will like it a lot if you liked the previous games in the series.

benjaminc.walker Just tried patching my CD copy of this today to get it to work - it's touch and go alright, especially if you want to mod it with the fan-created upgrades. Just give us the real thing, please! We know you can do it.

hilmic I asked for this game via e-mail, but got a generic answer. I say we call GOG.com out on this over twitter and facebook and challenge them to port X-Wing Alliance.
imperialspectre This was by far my favorite of the Star Wars fighter sims. Best engine, best graphics, and a relatively more complex storyline that I very much enjoyed years ago. I would buy a GoG release immediately.
scothar01 The best of the x-wing/tie fighter series. Best story, best gameplay, best physics, overall an incredible game. I'm not a big gamer anymore, just casual, but I would go out and buy a joystick again just to play this game.

TandrewTan Please, please, please port this one. There's a huge mod community that's been updating this game and I think things have slowed down since the game is so difficult to track down and get running.
Monsoonmoonrock X-Wing Alliance is a fantastic game, but getting ahold of a cd copy is costly and there are numerous issues getting the game running on modern pcs that a GOG release could really help with. It's the swan song of the Golden Age of Lucasarts made flight sims and it would be an instant purchase for me.

infinityBCRT GOG, you should get 3D Acceleration working smoothly before you go ahead and release this game IMO. Whereas X-Wing/Tie Fighter hold up without 3D acceleration, this game looks awful without it.

Raimoraimo Underappreciated, one of the best space sims ever and on par with its more well known predecessors, except much prettier! This would be so much worth it... The only X-Wing game that can be made run on modern resolutions and actually still looks somewhat modern too. The campaign is great as well, I wouldn't hesitate buying it on GOG (Even though I have a cd-rom copy and a functioning install on Win7 64 bit+fan upgraded ship models at the moment)
GhostCop2000 Please do it. I'd pay anything. Always so overlooked in favour of the other SW space sims, but imo it is one of the greatest games of all time.
The buzz you get when you're flying around a full on capital ship fight is incredible.
