The Denuvo DRM was removed long ago, there isn’t a reason for it not to be on GOG

NinJaB0T Yeah me too. Ended up buying somewhere else unfortunately. GOG is missing so many good titles, Sonic franchise among them and there would be a lot of money to be made from it.

ulillillia64 I'd love to see Sonic Mania on GoG. I can't find it anywhere outside of consoles I don't have or only Steam and Epic (the latter 2 don't offer direct downloads and force you to use their client which is annoying). GoG is so convenient and it's sad to see Sonic Mania absent from here!

Jeffry84 I remember the other Sonic games ported by Whitehead to be DRMed, like on the Ouya, and apparently there are no many chances to see them freed from the curse, but here's my vote. The games looks cool and I won't buy it unless it's DRM-free.

I'd grab this here as soon as it launched, and then buy it on Switch as well ending my Sonic boycott that this release inspired, but I doubt Sega will pull their heads out and remove Denuvo even though it was cracked in no time flat.

Wanderer The fans aren't happy with the DRM, neither with Sega giving Sonic 1 after the pre-order delay... which stops people to return Sonic Mania since the 2 weeks period to return considers Sonic 1 too.
Both things take away my will to buy the game as it is, so I place this here in the hope of someday, being able to play the game in my computer, without DRM.

Myashi I don't know how many hopes we still have, beacause Mania is on Steam right now, protected by the drm Denuvo. I've still voted cause i want this awesome game to be DRM free. I don't know if is still possible (it happened with Rime), but I will not buy a denuvo game.

AZZYPICS Notice how SEGA's teaser trailer for Sonic Mania says "PC" at the end, but doesn't specify what digital distribution stores are getting it. I think it's a chance for GOG.com to get it! The game looks and feels very retro, so why not?
