Sheepiling Yes please add the original SimCity, along with Sims 1 and 2!! I love old Maxis games so much and hate that the only way to get them now is through illegal methods.
skydreams1 I am with the first guy who posted. The original Simcity that had Godzilla and natural disasters if you didn’t enter the code correctly. I think the code was the population of a city. There was a large paper booklet with all the answers. When you placed residential, it took up 9 squares. If you disposed of the middle one, the whole thing exploded. You could also delete portions of the squares leaving a 2x3 tall if you were cramped on space. If Godzilla walked over the middle tile, the whole house would blow up. If he walked over the side, it was just the square that would be destroyed.
I’ll try to find more info about this from my parents house. There’s probably some cd’s in boxes.

I know I use Linux as primary; but that doesn't mean I want to compile source code off who-knows-who's Github page. ;)
Tynach The original SimCity was made open source under the name Micropolis.

tjohnson4math At one point, EA games had this available for free, if I remember right. However, that was a long time ago.

FlamingFirewire If we're talking about the new game, we all know it won't happen, but a man can still dream that one day, EA will see the light, make this game DRM-free, and make it available on other platforms. At least we can dream of the far off future.
RaggieSoft Assuming this is referring to the original SimCity: I'm interested in the original DOS version, the version for Windows 3.1, and Interplay's Enhanced CD version.
Since the Win 3.1 version is a 16-bit Windows EXE, most likely it won't run on 64-bit machines. Ah well, DOS version + DOSBox.

KajQrd I would really like to see the original. And I would prefer to at least have a version as vanilla as possible. Still if we could get both the original and the enhanced CD-ROM version that would be awesome. But if I have to choose I'd say go for the original...

Dreadjaws When you write "SimCity" like that I think you mean the newest game on the series. That just won't happen, that game has always-online DRM, which is the opposite of what GOG allows here.
fisk0 Not sure if we should add another entry for the Enhanced CD-ROM version of SimCity, or if we should just hope they'd add that (and maybe have the original available as bonus content). Because I'd really want the CD-ROM version with ridiculous live action FMV advisors and stuff.
