D4RK-SP4RT4N117 would be nice if they could do it, no official pc port exists of this game but if mgs1 wich "was" an ps1 (not counting the one from gog) exclusive could be ported over to the master collection for both xbox and pc (wich used the ps1 version) then its possible with silent hill 1.
Dancsi38 EV_Gamer, what remaster/port/remake you want? This game is/was a ps1 exclusive, there is no official PC port of this game and konami lost the source code (along with SH2 and 3)

SH1 is only on PS1 and there is no official PC port of it + Konami lost the source codes, so I doubt that GOG is gonna release the game (selling the emulator + PS1 games are illegal for GOG, they don't have the rights, because Sony still owns the ps1 bios that is required to run ps1 games with the emulator.

Squaffle So what we should instead be doing is starting a petition to have Silent Hill 1 reworked for proper release on all platforms. That's if there isn't already a petition.
If Konami is made aware that there is sufficient interest and they are assured they can make enough money then they justify the cost of doing development work for platform expansion.
Dancsi38 @Agon1st, Konami lost the source code, never gonna happen. This game will remain a PS1 exclusive, so people stop requesting a game here that is impossible to get on PC.
If you want it badly, get a ps1 emulator + the game and play on the PC that way. I doubt that GOG is gonna release and sell a ps1 emulator with the game bundled with it, you need a ps1 bios too and it is illegal to download one (Sony is not gonna give one to GOG).

For PS1 emulation, you will need a PS1 legal bios (either jap, us or eur) in order to load PS1 games. I really doubt that Sony will give out a legal PS1 BIOS to GOG so they can release a Sony/PS1 exclusive game to PC users here.
L1FEsUniverse It would need a remake as MGS1 would also need. As there was no PC version of the original game and Konami‘s current state as a publisher we just have to hope that the rumours which are ongoing for weeks will finally become reality in a foreseeable future.

Dragon_Cam Never gonna happen because SH1 was never ported over to PC. Always was Playstation exclusive.
TestGirlFan Voted for this but since this game hadn't a pc port, this wish is impossible. Even if they were make a native PC port (looks like they lost the source code of SH1), remake it or release the original PS1 game ISO slapped with an emu, something that Konami didn't in +20 years (maybe because the game uses some SONY libraries and would need PS1 bios too, which is of course SONY's propierty), they would release it on Steam instead of here, that's for sure.

sageh2001 This game never received a proper PC port, so odds are this isn't happening. However, Silent Hill 2 and 3 did receive a PC port.

but there was once sold a copy of a PS1 version that was wrapped up in a emu.
HobartPaving @GratisBinarious There is no PC version of Silent Hill. You may be thinking of an emulated version of the game that came with the ePSXe emulator 'built in' and a custom front-end. Needless to say that wasn't official or legal.
colombia_supremo It is ancient, they may be enticed to opensource the code if it still exists, or they can just outsource porting to a company like nightdive (hint, hint).
GratisBinarius Well, there sure used to be a PC version of Silent Hill. I would like to get it as well, having never played it, and 2,3 etc. would be a grabber on GOG as well......

gamershellcomes114 There is no PC version of this game, so I don't see how this would ever happen, unless they decided to ship the game with a PS emulator, which wouldn't be optimal, to say the least.
